Thank you for your review and I would like to take this opportunity to respond to your comments. We are a traditional Marrakech riad and do not aspire to be a hotel. As we only have 6 rooms, we know all our guests and can offer a high level of personal service. I do not understand why we are being compared to a large impersonal hotel. The common areas and rooms are typical of a traditional riad and this is what the majority of our guests appreciate. We provide all our guests with a selection of toiletries in our en suite bathrooms. Bottled water and glasses are also freely available. Dinner is freshly made to order for each guest with local ingredients bought at the market that morning and prepared in house by our own cook. This is of course completely different to mass produced ‘street food’. I understand that this guest stayed with us when there was particularly heavy rainfall which affects all riads which are open to the elements. That is why we make a point of carrying out regular maintenance to keep Riad Linda in a welcoming condition for all our guests. To say that there has been no maintenance carried out in 10 years is simply untrue. We put a lot of time, effort, care and attention into ensuring our guests’ comfort and making their stay in Marrakech memorable. We continue to welcome guests from all over the world, including many who have stayed with us before. Whilst it is always possible to find cheap accommodation in Marrakech, these riads tend to be illegally run, do not pay taxes, pay their staff poorly and are uninsured. It is, of course, always up to guests if they want to take that risk. This, however is not what we represent.
