1-bed apartment, perfectly placed for easy access to where it's all happening in the city. Spacious & attractive inside, patio at rear. Recently refurbished with almost everything you need for a holiday. Some of the best of Porto, almost on the doorstep - a really vibrant nightlife, which couldn't really be described as quiet!
This is a one-bedroom apartment for two people, unusually spacious, completely refurbished and recently equipped. But it's greatest asset is its location, in a small tree-lined square with a fountain, on a pedestrianised street, but only a 200 metres from one of the key hubs of tourist interest and nightlife.
Guests have exclusive access to the whole apartment (except the linen cupboard), including the patio. The building has only one other apartment.
Общение с гостями
We like to meet our guests personally when they arrive, and are usually available to them by phone, SMS or email throughout their stay, for advice on restaurants, where to visit, the language, travelling around, problems, etc. And we love to share travellers' tales, so if they want to meet for a coffee or a beer, then that's also welcome. But we won't impinge on their privacy, and will always wait to be asked...
We are often available to pick our guests up at the Metro station, or even the airport if your flight is in the late evening.
Другие важные подробности
Ours is a partially pedestrianised shopping street that runs between two important city centre squares, and it’s parallel to one of the city’s oldest shopping streets.
Most of the main tourist attractions found in the guide books are within walking distance, some, such as the Clérigos Tower and the Lello bookshop, are just a few hundred metres away, along with the Porto University Senate and S. António hospital. In the other direction is the Art district, with several dozen art galleries and related businesses.
Other important spots, such as the Cathedral, the Ribeira riverside area and the Gaia waterfront, with its Port Wine Lodges and riverfront restaurants offering the best views of Porto itself, are also within walking distance, 10 to 20 minutes away. Boavista (for Casa da Música) and Porto’s seaside district in Foz, are easily accessible by bus or tram.
Clérigos and Cordoaria are both within a few minutes’ walk. These form one of the hubs for Porto's tourists by day and the city's nightlife after the shops close. The street itself is relatively quiet during the day – there’s not a lot of traffic, and it’s set slightly back from the main thoroughfares. However, at night, the proximity to the nightlife attracts many people, and the pretty square outside is a magnet for people drinking in the bar below, so even with the apartment’s double glazed windows and the building's thick stone walls you're always aware that you're "right in the heart of Porto". We have excellent reviews, but some people, who maybe didn't take this advice seriously, do comment on the noisy nights!
We don't want to impose rules, but ask that guests treat our home with respect and common sense - for example, smoke only in the veranda or on the patio, turn off lights/heaters when you go out, take your trash away. And when you check out, leave it how you would wish to find it.
