TO SUM IT UP....
To unplug from the matrix and have a REAL holiday it's hard to beat the 17th century Chateau de Cautine. Set in an untouched part of France, the chateau sits on a rise in a tiny hamlet, overlooking its 34 acres of fields, forests and streams. This small, intimate chateau just wants to open its doors, shutters and heart and welcome people in. The serenity and tranquillity make the mind go almost as quiet as the surrounding countryside. Virtually no cars, no airplane contrails, no hum of a nearby motorway, no people spilling out all raucous on a Friday night from any local drinkerie. It’s just you; playing by the pool, eating dinner under the tree in the garden overlooking the valley, seeing a shy deer or two or strolling through the land as your own. It’s the simplest of steps from the busyness of business to the simplicity of this rural retreat. A stroll away is a lake and tennis courts. A short drive and you have all the high octane adventure you can want. But inside the gates, breathe this energising unpolluted air, eat delicious fresh local fare and feel yourself come back home in this special corner of Richard the Lionheart country!

I have spent the past few years running our chateau as a holiday rental. We have had many very happy guests and have met some wonderful people. The best thing about it is seeing guests arrive and their reactions to the stunning setting and fascinating house. Many have said it is so much more beautiful in real life than in the photos, even though the photos are great.
In the past six years, I have also dedicated a lot of my time to the development of Eco Chateau, a permaculture and ecological housing development on the chateau property. We hope to start this soon.
I also run a small Thai & Southeast Asian restaurant in Cornwall, and I spend some of my time there.
We look forward to meeting you here at the chateau and to helping to make your holiday the best ever!
