A warm welcome awaits you in this Victorian period house; a tree lined oasis in the centre of Derry. The double bedroom (suitable for 1 or 2 persons) is on the top floor of the house with amazing views over the city, which is a short walk away.
My home is a 3-storey Victorian period, listed property. It has many original features, high ceilings, fireplaces, but with all mod cons.
Put on a comfortable pair of shoes and within 10-15 minutes you will be in the heart of our historic city, where you can take a guided tour of the iconic city walls (by bus or foot), visit the many historical buildings, museum, local bars and restaurants, or take a stroll along the banks of the River Foyle. You might even be enticed to walk the Three Bridges, a favourite amongst locals. Taxis cost approx £3, so that's an option for tired feet on the way home.
Derry - Doire - Londonderry is the perfect gateway to the other treasures in the area. The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Ballintoy Harbour, The Dark Hedges (of Game of Thrones infamy) Rathlin Island, Malin Head, Isle of Doagh, Inch Island, An Grianan of Aileach (historic ring fort), Glenveagh National Park, stunning beaches, castles, archaeological sites, country pubs, mountains, rivers and lakes. If you like the outdoors bring your hiking boots, bikes, wet suits, waterproof clothes, even in summer. As the saying goes, "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes."
The local landscape is also a photographers dream, ask me for great location suggestions.
To ensure you have a magical time I will be more than happy to advise you on what are must-sees locally and in other counties, as I have travelled around most of the island.
Comfy double bed with beautiful views of the city from the third floor. Private bathroom, with shower and roll top, claw foot Victorian bath.

My name is Elaine and I am a native of the city of Derry.
I started travelling when I was 18 years old, so I'm very aware of what I like when staying as a guest in a hotel, bed and breakfast, hostel, or as a guest on AirBnB. Location and cleanliness feature high on the list.
So far I have travelled to Thailand, Iceland, Nepal, Scandinavia, Africa, Tasmania, Hong Kong, China, Australia, many countries in mainland Europe, North America, and all over Ireland and Britain.
I love photography, yoga, reading, cycling and hillwalking. I've recently cycled the whole coast of the west coast of Ireland called the Wild Atlantic Way, and later this year I'll be volunteering for three months as Expedition Photographer in Borneo with Raleigh International.
I would like your visit with me to be comfortable, that you'd find my home welcoming. Derry is the perfect location to sightsee the wild and ruggedness of the North West of Ireland.
I look forward to meeting you very soon.
