Two-bedroom, two-bath house filled with treasures, trinkets, art, and oddities. Large kitchen, wireless internet, amazing yard with ample art and strawberry patch. 5 minutes from downtown with driveway and plenty of street parking. Bus stop down the block. Your host is an artist and avid world traveler, eager to provide you with a home away from home in Denver!
As you walk up the winding path from the street, you will pass a long fence covered in multi-colored windows and doors. Sculpture art adorns the garden, including a beautiful five-and-a-half foot wind chime that hangs from the giant Ponderosa pine tree. The chimes come with a mallet, so feel free to bang away! Depending on the season, the garden dazzles you with poppies, columbines, yarrow, wildflowers, strawberries, tomatoes, basil, cucumber, carrots, squash, and other vegetables. Inside, enjoy the meditative space of the sweet and lovely guest room, the cool retreat of the funky master bedroom, or wander the main house and explore the host's book and art collections. If you like to cook, the kitchen is large and well-supplied with cookware.
Everyone on our block is friends with each other: the community is warm, inviting, and generous. People spend a lot of time outdoors in our neighborhood, and typically people greet each other and can be found chatting over fences and to people who walk by.
The garage is used as an art studio hosting an artist-in-residency program. Depending on when you come, there may be an artist working on the property who you can meet and whose work you can check out! All in all, you can expect a funky, fun, and relaxing retreat here.
FYI, even though Denver is 420-friendly I ask that you still smoke outside. There is no smoking of any kind allowed in the house. Thank you for your understanding!

I celebrate diversity and welcome people of all backgrounds, creeds, religions, preferences, and nationalities.
The best guests and the best hosts have all the same qualities. I request respect, consideration, kindness, good will, good humor, and the benefit of the doubt from all of my guests, and I will offer these same qualities in return. Also, I have collected art and treasures from my travels all over the world: guests may feel free to explore my collection but please treat it with respect! Many of my items are one-of-a-kind.
I have a strict no-smoking policy for inside my house. Also, my home is not a great fit for any travelers who are coming to Denver strictly to enjoy pot tourism. I have taken great care in furnishing and decorating my home, and I want to share it with travelers who treat it as a unique home and not a generic hotel. This space is a good fit for a thoughtful, respectful, and creative traveler who enjoys the curiosities accumulated from a life well-lived. If your primary purpose in visiting Denver is to party, this probably won't be the best house for you. Further, I do not drink or use any recreational drugs myself. I don't mind if my guests have a little beer or wine in the house for short-term stays, but again, the most compatible guests for this space are travelers who are not steered by their relationship to substances. Thank you for your understanding!
After your stay, I ask that you leave the house in the condition you found it. Please wash any used dishes and restore all items to their original location. Travelers who strip the beds will also receive my undying love and adoration! :)

I am a photographer, writer, performer, and producer. I love to travel, and the more remote the location the better. I am passionate about working within marginalized communities and populations. In particular, I love working with the special needs community, teaching under-resourced teens and youth, and volunteering for Uganda Project -- an organization that serves a group of students living in Uganda who have been orphaned by the AIDS epidemic. I use my art to help build understanding and trust across cultural and social lines. I appreciate good company, good food, and good laughs!
