The Solarium International Hostel is a unique lodging destination. Like walking into Narnia's wardrobe, the Solarium opens up to a secret jungle.
Based in mid-town Fort Collins, the ideal location to exceptional dining, world-renowned breweries, pioneering dispensaries and outdoor activities. To us "hostel" is a place to spend time in communal unique lodging, while meeting people from around the world. We offer dorms to cut down costs, or private rooms for some time alone.

The building was built in 1979 by an iconic social figure of Fort Collins, John Clark. At the time of construction, the Solarium served as a photography studio for Clark Photography as well as a personal home for his family. Joan Clark planted the trees that now reach to the glass ceiling of the atrium and give the space the botanical uniqueness that inspired the name Solarium. After changing hands a few times, the building landed with our family, where we had the vision of travelers from around the world sitting and enjoying the beautiful tropical setting. We are a well-traveled family, with hospitality at heart. We brought back the life and vibrancy that the Clark family had envisioned. We renovated the rooms, upgraded the furniture and added a few fun amenities to foster the quintessential Colorado experience. We now boast a yoga studio on the property, a 400 square foot tipi to allow guests to enjoy marijuana in a legal setting and have bikes for rent so guests can see our beautiful town from the trails.
There are a total of twelve rooms, two are four person dorms, and two are all inclusive suites. The rest are private rooms, which wrap around the botanical courtyard in the main building, some with a private bathroom and some without, we have a room for every budget! Each room has an accent color that inspires the name of the room, giving the Solarium a vibrant, colorful, Caribbean feel. The private suites are set up as a duplex (lower and upper) east of the main building, equip with a full kitchen, private bathroom and separate entrances. Guests that stay in the suites still have access to the main building while enjoying full anonymity. The main building has a community kitchen, TV room and a gift shop stocked with snack and souvenirs from local Colorado small businesses. We love local, and do our very best to highlight some wonderful local entrepreneurs in our area. The yoga studio, the FoCo Yoga Co-op, is a yoga cooperative with classes and workshops run by local entrepreneurs in the holistic health field. You can find the yoga (EMAIL HIDDEN)
