We are in one of the oldest sections of Fort Lauderdale, one what was once an island. The house, a 1924 Mediterranean Revival, is situated between downtown and the beach, blocks from the restaurant and shopping district along las Olas Blvd.
video and book library,washer/dryer,kitchen for breakfast.
We enjoy visitors who have stories to tell ,as we do.Thats the fun part inviting people into our house.I would even give you scones if I knew what they were.
Walking.we never get tired of it. I get a sense of moving through time: the houses and trees have been here a long time compared to most neighborhoods in South Florida. The architecture is varied, a reflection of a time before housing developments, and the plantings are lush and tropical.
Public transportation is nearby , with bus and trolley stops three blocks away on Las Olas. Also, the main bus terminal is within walking distance, as will be the new All-Aboard-Florida high speed train to Miami,Palm Beach, and Orlando.
As I come from different countries, being born in the Philippines, of Spanish and Japanese parentage, I find it interesting to be able to host Americans in America.
Video and Book library, 300 DVDs, kitchen, shared bath, and laundry.

John and I enjoy talking to, or watching movies with our guests.
Respect the house and people living in it, by removing your shoes on the patio, and I'm allergic to cats and dogs so please leave your fur- bearing animals at home. Do keep in mind others share the house with you and trying to sleep after 11pm or so, loud TVs may keep them awake and no smoking inside the house only in the garden.
