As much or as little as the guests may like! I am here to answer any questions and offer advice at all times. I am of Te Arawa (my tribe or iwi) descent with a wealth of local knowledge, and will happily make recommendations (and reservations) for you to explore the best local attractions, whether it be to see maori culture at its best or perhaps indulge in some of the more adventurous activities. There's so much to choose from: white water rafting, kayaking, body sledging, zorbing, bungy jumping, skydiving are just some of the activities available locally or visit trout springs and the kiwi house or feed baby lions! Take your pick!
Personal customised tours can be organised at an extra cost, when booked in advance.

I am NZ Maori, locally born and bred, passionate about my culture, enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and love learning about other cultures.
For pleasure (and sometimes pain!!) I enjoy walking locally or on one of the many scenic bush walks around Rotorua and it's beautiful lakes.
I am very friendly, warm and welcoming, all the while being respectful and mindful of other peoples spaces and feelings. If it's privacy you desire, you shall have it!!
I live with my husband David who is a stroke survivor of nearly nine years and also take care of his needs. He has aphasia (speech difficulties) and problems with mobility. If you don't mind that we look forward to welcoming you into our home.
There's a favourite maori whakatauki (proverb) which goes:
"He aha te mea nui o te ao?
He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!"
"What is the most important thing in the world?"
It is people! It is people! It is people!"
