This lovely home is located in the beautiful, unspoiled village of Kingsport, a cherished destination for summer visitors for over a century. Come fall in love with the rich history of the house and the stunning landscape that surrounds it!
From the wide, plank flooring to the hand-hewn beams in the living room, you are taken back to the beauty of early architecture, with all the warmth and convenience of modern amenities. Two full bathrooms with shower and clawfoot tub, you want for nothing in this lovely house.
A fully equipped kitchen, linens including towels, complete laundry facilities, wireless internet, a spacious garden, gas BBQ and use of bicycles and kayaks all come with the house.
We are a phone call away to respond to the needs of our guests as is a local caretaker. Otherwise, we leave you to take in the beauty of your surroundings.
A breathtakingly beautiful area and a dream for those who love to run, bike, windsurf, kayak, and walk the beautiful sand beach, just steps from the front door. A number of the finest wineries in Nova Scotia are a walk or short drive away. The trails of Blomidon Provincial Park and Cape Split are also nearby. This area is an artist's dream and many live in the area or visit here regularly.
For those who can bear to pull themselves away from the beaches of Kingsport, a car is necessary as the only public transportation available is in Wolfville, a 15 minute drive from Kingsport. However, a bike ride into the village of Canning to restock supplies or a drive into Wolfville for the Saturday morning market are delightful trips to take.
This part of the Annapolis Valley is known for the wildlife including bald eagles who nest in the area. The beauty of the valley and its moderate, pleasant climate is a photographers paradise.
Guests have access to every part of the house and the extensive grounds and gardens.
No smoking in the house, of course! We will consider pets with a damage deposit. Otherwise, our home is your home is your castle!
I'm the principal of an elementary school, married with three adult children. My husband, Ron and I have pets... Nellie, a beautiful Vizsla - and Keji, a black half-siamese cat. We live on William's Lake in the city of Halifax (we love the water!) and want to share the beauty of our 'country home' on the Minas Basin. We are hikers and appreciate the music, art and photography that talented east coasters bring to us.
