Just to be clear, below was my review on Fiona's page. It is apparent that we have very differing views on what an AirBnB space entails.
At first, Fiona was a great prospect. She communicated well prior to her visit, asked a few questions, and had a painless arrival. As the 2 week stay went on, it started out great, but a few days in it went down hill. After receiving NUMEROUS rave reviews on my apartment, I was shocked to come home to a 2 page letter written about all of Fiona's qualms with our space. This was very upsetting, considering how hospitable I was. After her complaining about the AC not working in the living room in the middle of October in NYC (turns out our building had turned it off for the winter...a fairly normal NYC occurrence), I overnighted an oscillating fan hoping to solve the problem. She complained about having to assemble it and went on to list the other problems she had with the space. I pride myself in being an above average AirBnB host, and Fiona completely diminished that. All that being said, I will be the first to admit that there were a few unintentional hiccups, but I believe that the charm of AirBnB space is dependent upon a homey feel. When booking with Fiona, make sure to ask as many questions as possible. And if not, be prepared to receive a laundry list of unwanted opinions. I want it to be known that this was a very difficult review for me to write because I have had nothing but lovely experiences with the site thus far.
