Gundega's place is a great location nearby to the beach. In fact, we really enjoyed the beaches in the area much more than Jurmala. She was easy to get a hold of and communicate with via Airbnb app. We were met by her mother who was extremely nice and helpful, even with her lack of English.
It was quite easy to find her place in a residential neighborhood. The property looks nice, with a small pond, volleyball court, fire pit area. The downstairs area is a shared kitchen space for everyone. Upstairs are three bedrooms, with ours connected to a private bathroom. Apart from the bathroom, the room contained three sleeping areas, couch, and a desk. It is worth noting the water does have a iron/sulphur smell to it. It is safe to use, but not always what people are used to.
The wi-fi was good initially, but we did have trouble connecting more than one device. One would be connected to the network, and another device would not connect. If we disconnected the one, the other device would then be able to work.
Overall, it's a great place, especially for the cost, with an amazing beach nearby. Also, head up north to Engure ezers for an amazing lake with horses and cows. Then stop at Vizbuli Cafe for great homemade pastries.
