After greeting guests and covering the details, Sandy is happy to answer any questions and make recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. There won't be any hovering, so make yourself at home. In the morning, perhaps we can enjoy coffee or tea and a continental breakfast together and see how your first day around town has been. Then you're back on your way exploring or traveling while I tidy up.

I am from Ohio and have been in Portland for 15 years. I spent my early working years in Atlanta, Georgia before starting over in the Northwest. I enjoy dancing, walking the neighborhoods and trails, and, for the past year, following Bitcoin. If you're interested in learning more about this cryptocurrency stuff, I can bring you up to speed during your stay. I also love hearing about people's travels and whole-heartedly welcome all travelers of every background, personality, religion, orientation and anything else you can think of. I've had roommates a lot over the years and am comfortable with having others around my house. You will feel at home. My name, Sandy, means "helper" and that describes my personality well. It's OK to ask me for what you need and I'm happy to try to accommodate. I'm not a chef, but I am enjoying trying to come up with breakfasts that please; most are just simple foods your mom would fix you, some manage to be restaurant worthy, some do not always go as planned and some are standard continental fare. I follow safe food handling procedures and have an Oregon food handler's card. I buy healthy, organic and whole grain ingredients half the time but also go mainstream half the time. Usually I have dairy free options available. It's OK to let me know what your preferences are. I want you to feel at home.
