Marco was incredibly welcoming, and a wonderful host. On our first evening, we were treated to an "aperitivo", where we were served local wine, salami, prosciutto, focaccia and cheese, as well as dip, and Marco kept bringing out more food, so much so that we didn't have to eat dinner. He also made an excellent suggestion for a day-trip, taking the ferry to the monastery at San Fruttuoso (we would also recommend taking swimming gear with you as the tiny beach was pristine and perfect), and then the ferry back, getting off for visits to Portofino, and Santa Margherita Ligure. The hotel was very handily located to walk from the train station and also close to the main sea promenade, and because it was off the Main Street, it wasn't too noisy. Also a lovely little garden courtyard where we ate breakfast, which was included, and comprised a generous selection of cold buffet options. The rooms were small but very clean, air-conditioned and with eco bathroom products supplied. Beds were comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to return again and thank Marco and Felipe for our great stay.
