What’s Unique about the Victorian Room at The Harbor Rose? It's the only guest room with a fireplace. The Victorian Room features spectacular water views all year round. Accommodations include a luxury mattress, linens and pillows. The bath offers a spacious tub featuring a deep, claw-foot soaking tub and shower. The shower is shared by the occupant of the Garden Room (only if the Garden Room is occupied during your stay).
Your spacious comfortable room has water-views, king size bed and love seat, 3 windows and a balcony just outside your room.

We at Harbor House offer a designated full size refrigerator for house guests, bike storage and a balcony overlooking the shore line. We are less than 1 mile from Huntington Village featuring 87 restaurants, live entertainment at the Paramount Theatre as well as our beautiful waterfront venues. Enjoy the local beaches and water sports, museums, parks, hiking & biking trails, festivals, and boutique shopping. For the biking enthusiast, we have miles of trails for you to explore, from the Greenbelt trail to Caumsett park with more than 15 miles of hard-packed wide dirt roads and bridle paths which form an interesting network on 1,500 acres of rolling terrain. Harbor House is minutes from the Vanderbilt Planetarium and Teddy Roosevelt's summer home. The Long Island Railroad is only 1 mile away to whisk you to Manhattan in a mere 50 minutes.
Within walking distance to Cold Spring Harbor Labs & minutes from Cablevision, CW Post, NYIT, Plainview, Hicksville, Oyster Bay, and Woodbury we have enjoyed hosting interns for the local hospitals, vets and horse trainers, relocating professionals, students, professional musicians, scientists, researchers, teachers, sales people, immigrants, traveling professionals of all kinds, tourists, and even assisted several guests in buying or renting a new home.

Harbor House Guidelines:
Please park in your assigned parking spot – so that 4 cars can be parked without blocking the garage doors. If you have visitors, be sure they park responsibly.
Entrances / Exits:
Please do your best to be sure that the doors are firmly shut when entering and exiting.
We recycle: In the alternate kitchen entrance area (mud room) are the recycle bins:
Paper boxes are compressed an placed in the paper bags
Plastic, metal and glass is rinsed clean and placed in garbage pail
Other trash in closed bags can be placed in the garbage can in the little garage.
Deposit bottles can be left on the kitchen counter - my daughter collects the deposits!
1.Provided Daily ! If you desire extra towels or an Iron – Please ask!
2.Bathrooms and water usage: We have cesspools here, so we are very conscious about conserving water - Don’t worry you will always have hot water and a shower when you need one!
1.Enjoying the outdoors: You are welcome to relax outside in the many seating areas or walk around the property. Cushions can be found in the Storage box on the deck.
2.Please be generally mindful and considerate of others. The house is fairly sound proof, with the exception of the central staircase. Voices on the staircase travel throughout the house.
3.If you open windows, please close the storms and re-lock the windows before you leave for the day in case it rains while you are out.

As Real Estate Professionals, We have been hosting international professional guests for many years. We are a "Green" vegetarian household and use only non-toxic cleaning supplies which includes Laundry soap. We have hosted guests in hurricanes and snow storm and try our best to have the most fun we can!! I love cooking many different things, so if you see me in the kitchen, be ready to taste some new creation of mine!
The house was built in 1846 as the rectory to St. John's Church, so it is a very special and peaceful space! It features 4 fireplaces as well as lots of outdoor seating areas.
You can see the view of the Connecticut Shoreline from our very own Balconies!! Join us on the Patio Deck for Cocktails on a Summer Evening!
