Enjoy warmth and comfort of your junior suite on the 2nd floor, with its own private entry from the garden. Soak up the charm of Southern Vermont. Glorious 10-mile views from our house on a hill.
Glide in our kayaks (a single and a double) on peaceful lakes, enjoy wonderful hikes, as well as museums and concerts at nearby colleges.
The downtown with its exciting restaurants is just a mile away. We'll be happy to tell you where locals eat and hang out.
Welcome to our house on a hill, designed by a prominent Vermont architect, with a private guest suite on the 2nd floor, with a keypad entry from the garden. This location is so private that to see a neighbor's house you'll need binoculars.
This guest suite was built in 2014, to a very high standard. You get a queen bed with brand-name linens, two leather armchairs in the sitting area, a handcrafted table, etc.
We care about your comfort. We have only one private guest suite and we accept guests only when we are home. If you have any questions or needs, just ring our doorbell.
You have miles of views of forests, meadows and hills from your windows. The bathroom (completely private of course) has a walk-in shower with a strong water flow and nice toiletries. It even has a window with a view.
Your suite has Bose speakers - bring your own iPod or other music. Play what you like and as loud as you wish - you have no neighbors.
There is a small fridge in the lobby of your suite and a Keurig coffee machine with coffee and tea, but no kitchen and cooking is not permitted.
There are many good restaurants in the area, and we'll be happy to describe them for you and help you choose.
When the lakes - both five minutes away - are free of ice you're welcome to borrow our kayaks. You're also welcome to use a private picnic area on our park-like property. You'll be alone there - not a soul in sight, only birds.
Общение с гостями
We enjoy meeting our guests. If you prefer privacy, just say hello on arrival and enjoy yourself. On the other hand, you're welcome to join us for a glass of home-made apple cider and talk about Vermont.
We'll be happy to direct you to hiking trails, golf courses and ski slopes as well as beaches (our own town beach and state beaches, including a naturist beach). We can point you towards local markets, auctions, and attractions. We can tell you about local restaurants, museums and music concerts at nearby colleges.
We are a widely travelled, professional, multicultural couple. We've been to 70 countries at the latest count and prefer staying in private upscale accommodations. That's how we've learned what works best for guests - and implemented it here.
Другие важные подробности
CHILDREN - there is only one queen-size bed in the jr suite and two armchairs (no couch). If bringing a baby or a child it is up to you to bring a collapsible crib or an airmattress. And, once again, a reminder - no cooking.
DOG - we have a standard poodle (non-shedding, non-allergenic). She is never allowed in the guest apartment, so no fear of any allergies.
KAYAKS - a single and a double, both very sturdy and stable, suitable even for for beginners. If your car does not have a roof rack, we will drive you and a kayak to the launch area and pick you up when ready to return as a friendly courtesy.
Minimum 2 nights

We are a married couple (no kids). We lived on three continents, and when traveling (70 countries so far), we always look for upscale comfortable places with good internet. We set up our own guest suite on airbnb to implement the best practices we've experienced in our worldwide travels.
