Tucked behind the Dixon Plaza, and situated directly above the Acequia de la Plaza, the Long House is one of the true gems in Dixon. Built in the 1700s and lovingly renovated in the 1990s, the Long House offers a unique and historic experience in the heart of Dixon. Centrally located off the Dixon Plaza, you'll be a five minute walk to the Coop, library, post office, and Zuly's Cafe. It's a great place to relax and enjoy Dixon and as a home base to venture and explore northern NM.
Treat the Long House, its contents, the caretaker and the neighbors with respect and kindness, as if this were your home away from home.

Having taken the road less traveled, I’ve been lucky to travel to many parts of the world. I enjoy learning about new places, people and culture, and I believe there’s nothing better than experiencing that first hand. Having lived and traveled through most of Europe, parts of Canada, Mexico, and Ecuador, and nearly all of the fifty states, I have a great appreciation for traveling, meeting new people and finding great, new places.
I lived in northern New Mexico for ten years before re-locating to New Hampshire, where I currently reside with my wife and daughter. We’re frequent visitors to the Long House and are happy to be able to offer our home for your stay in New Mexico. We think it’s one of the most special places in the world, and we hope you do too!
