Get away from it all in a secluded home in the Vermont National Forest. Our large 3-bedroom home features a large deck and panoramic views of the Green Mountains. Tons of privacy, but minutes from town. 30 minutes from three ski slopes (Sugarbush, Killington, Pico). Large wood-burning fireplace, great for families, friends, and groups.
We love our vacation home! It has been in the family for 35 years and well-cared for that whole time. Uniquely situated, the house is 10 minutes from the town of Rochester, but high up in the hills on 2 acres of land. The photos do not even begin to do justice to our view.
We have 3 closed bedrooms (2 with queen beds and one with 2 twins) and a queen-sized futon in an open room on the lower level. A deck extends the length of the house and has a 180-degree view of the Green Mountains. One of the highlights of the home is the large built-in stone wood-burning fireplace. Please note: There is a large set of stairs to climb to the entrance of the house.
The house is updated in its amenities, but still rustic in its charm. We have a fridge, range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, food processor, coffee machine, extra-large capacity washer and dryer, and small gas grill. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking all meals. But it still feels like a remote cabin, filled with books to read and large sofas for relaxing in front of the fire.
We have wi-fi and a smart TV that has a Netflix subscription. But it is in a remote area and the internet can be slow at times. It should always be possible to check email.
We also have a highchair, pack-n-play, toys, board games, etc. It's a great home for kids of all ages.
30-40 minutes to four ski resorts-- Sugarbush, Killington, Pico, and Middlebury Bowl. Great cross-country and snow-shoeing within 15 minute drive.
In the housing community at the bottom of the mountain, there is a swimming pond, two tennis courts, and a play structure for kids.
The whole house will be yours. Everything's included, including firewood, kitchen staples, and toiletries. It is our home and our things, but you are free to use whatever we have in the house, which includes fully stocked kitchen cupboards, plenty of large towels, fluffy bathrobes, and newly reupholstered sofas. Dogs are permitted with prior approval.

We are full-time Montrealers who love to spend weekends at our vacation home in Vermont whenever we can. We enjoy the best of city living and small town living via our cottage in the Green Mountains. Our 6-year-old daughter accompanies us on all of our adventures.
