A pretty, modern flat for 1-3 guests nestled among the rooftops on Chepstow Road, a perfect London location. There is easy acces to all of central London and a five minute walk from the world famous bustling 'Portobello Road'.
If you have children, the flat is best suited to children over the age of 6/7 as the cabin bed is high and there is no protection at the top of the internal stairs. The owners of the flats below mine are permanent residents. We know each other well and we respect each others' need for privacy and quiet. We ensure that noise (Music, TV and conversation) is kept to a minimum after 23:00.
My housekeeper cleans the flat most Wednesday afternoons between 13:00 and 16:00. Her responsibility is to do a maintenance clean and not to wash up or clean up after guests. I expect guests to leave the flat in the same condition that they found it when they arrived with the exception of the set(s) of sheets and towels and the kitchen T towels that you use immediately before your departure. Before you depart, please strip your sheets from the bed(s) and fold the sheets and put the towels into the large grey pop up bag you will find in the bedroom cupboard.
Depending on the cleaning cycle, on your arrival, your bed will either be made with fresh sheets or you will need to do this yourself with sheets provided. Towels are also provided.
If you do not wish my housekeeper to clean the flat during your stay, please let me know in advance. In this case she will pop in but not clean and there will be no deductions.
If you are not able to leave the flat as clean as you found it then let me know as soon as you can and I will arrange for extra cleaning on your departure. This will cost £50.00 extra. If we need to clean the flat after you and I have not been told, £100 will be deducted from your deposit as I will need use an emergency cleaning service. Most of my guests have left the flat very clean and tidy on departure and this enables me to keep the costs down.
Please do not put any food down the drain in either the kitchen or the bathroom. You will be surprised that some guests have done this and the drains became blocked! Made sure than ANY solid food (even small items) are thrown into the rubbish bin.
I have a detailed inventory and this is checked after each guest. Breakages can happen. Please let me know of anything that you break or damage during your stay. This includes the staining of any sheets and towels which will need to be replaced if the stains cannot be removed.
Thanks. I'm sure you will have a great stay. It's a fantastic area and I am sure you will love your cosy nest!
I am an international development consultant working with child health and education programmes in developing countries. I live with my husband and two children in a village just outside Cambridge, England. I have lived in Kenya and Hong Kong and I have worked in numerous countries in Africa, South Asia, South East Asia and the Far East. I have had this lovely flat since 1994 and have had long stay tenants (one stayed for 11 years) and short stay tenants, friends and family stay here too. In 2011, I refurbished the flat from top to bottom. What my new tenants enjoy is the result!
