Usually we send through 24 hours prior, I recall you had some internet connectivity issues so we probably needed to get your info substantially earlier.
There are no need for concerns around security. the key to the apartment only opens the apartment and exterior doors. The other internal rooms are keyed differently, though all open the front door.
With regard to price, yes we are at the upper end. These were set when we setup the apartment in 2008 and remain unchanged since then. If there is resistance to the price, we are happy to accept this to ensure we attract guests who respect and appreciate what we have provided, it is a unique property and the only one of its kind in York. This is particularly important given we are not on site and can't monitor guests activities and behaviour and thankfully we have had no thefts or damage to property (except for an occasional wine glass).
Guests do seem to accept the no wifi, we think it's a rare opportunity to have an enforced break, even if it's only for 24 hours or so. Most can access via their phones these days. Please feel free to let me know if you have any other pertinent comments. Tks
