It's a beautiful place and a great way to experience a part of Alaska with hosts that are wonderful and have raced the Iditarod .. so they know a thing or two about mushing! Dogs are wonderful and amazingly quiet! Just a fantastic experience!

All the amazing reviews that you read are true. Bill and sandy are amazing people who love what they do and take pride in it. Even before we had signed up to stay with them they were very helpful in helping us plan our trip. The house was very clean and they even stocked the fridge and pantry in case we wanted to stay at home for breakfast and dinner. They had a folder with a map and everything else we needed to know. They even went through the map with us to help us plan out the rest of our stay. I was impressed with all the safety information and fire extinguishers this is the first airbnb we have gone to that has provided these details, which are easily forgotten about but very important. We got to meet the dogs :) and find out more about them. They took us out on the first ride of the season and everyone was excited. (Maybe the two of us more than the dogs). It was great watching the dogs from the porch as we had our morning coffee. Even after we left, bill and sandy were so nice to continue to text us about the northern lights forecast because they wanted to make sure we'd see them before we leave Alaska. This place has seriously been the highlight of our trip. Staying so close to amazing dogs was amazing within itself but Bill and sandys warmth and generosity has been unmatched. We look forward to telling our friends about this place. And look forward to coming back.

Thank you to Sandy and Bill for such a nice stay a their property. We especially liked the remote location and the dog kennel. The cabin was very clean and easy to find. Bill and Sandy were there to meet us arriving at 11pm. The cabin is located in a very safe area, which allowed us to access nearby hiking and bike riding. Bill and Sandy were available to answer any questions or make recommendations a needed. Thanks for great stay in Fairbanks. We highly recommend this property.

Alaskans tend to undersell themselves and Sandy and Bill are no exceptions. Let's be clear - running the Iditarod is closer to summiting Everest than it is to a marathon - and both of them have done it. A visit to their place was an opportunity to steep oneself in mushing lore and get up close with their wonderful family of sled dogs. The cabin that we stayed in was impeccable. The property is tucked into the arboreal forest but is sunny and well lit as trees had been cleared around the edges. I slept well through the midsummer twilight nights - all of the windows had suitably opaque curtains for darkness (hard to find in the North in July). Everything was clean and functional. The dogs were astonishingly quiet - only howled briefly in the mornings at feeding time. Sandy and Bill themselves were delightful, provided us with all the info we needed to make our stay a pleasure, and didn't intrude unless invited. My only regret was that it was too warm to take the dogs out on a training run - would love to return in Winter to revisit. My highest recommendations - would be a great place to stay in the winter with the aurora borealis in the sky and with Chena Hotsprings just a short ride down the road. And, of course, some mushing!

Sandy and Bill were outstanding hosts. When we arrived they were stocking breakfast for us. We enjoyed watching the 21 sled dogs. They said good night at eleven o'clock and were quiet the rest of the night. The cabin is a great set up for a secluded stay.

Sandy's place was magical. Totally exceeded our already high expectations. The accommodation was perfect for us with Sandy providing many little extras to make our stay even more wonderful. Along with being in the most beautiful location, Sandy and Bill absolutely go out of their way to assist with local knowledge and making you feel at home. Thanks so much to the both of you. This will be a stay that we will always cherish.

We combined our stay with Bill's dog mushing skills. He and Sandy are wonderful people, and their home is quite lovely.
