We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely rural Normandy cottage.
Andrew and Elizabeth are fantastic hosts. They are warm and friendly. Upon arrival, they showed us around the house and all the amenities. They even gave us a bottle of wine that tasted fantastic. They also helpfully provided us with other equipments that we required (Tupperware and extension cords).
Andrew is an Englishman, while Elizabeth is a lawyer working in London, and she is from Australia. They have a friendly dog called Molly, which we absolutely adore.
The provided basic cooking ingredients (milk, sugar, pepper, salt, cooking oil, vinegar, onions, herbs, oats etc). Hence, we had everything we need to make our meals for the day. They even gave us some homemade apple cinnamon jelly, which tasted lovely. Everyday, they provided us with fresh French loaves. They also had a BBQ pit, which we used for one of our dinners.
Living room was comfortable, and the movie selection is quite substancial.
Bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable. Comfortable quilts and blankets were provided too.
Lots of toys (lego, jenga, badminton etc) were made available for the kids. Outside the cottage was a small playground with a swing, that our kids kept hogging to.
Our favourite thing about the place has to be the huge garden and manor that surrounds the cottage. I go for morning walks around the garden to breathe the fresh air, and to see the beautiful fauna and flora that Elizabeth has painstakingly crafted.
Luggage can't be brought upstairs to the bedrooms and toilets, as the staircase is narrow, hence, we have to bring the clothes and toiletries up and down when required. But it is a very minor issue.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, we would love to come back here again. Thumbs up to Andrew and Elizabeth and their wonderful cottage.
