Rough Acre is a comfortable somewhat old fashioned Vegetarian home situated in the hills outside Staunton on Arrow. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is the place for you, come and enjoy a Cosy time by the wood stove safe and warm.
Rough Acre is a lovely eighteenth century farm house situated in the hills between Presteigne and Kington.
The house is in easy reach of Offas Dyke, Hay on Wye and Ludlow.
This is not a luxury home but it is comfortable, pleasing on the eye and as the artist in residence I have decorated most of the house.
There are two comfortable and spacious double bed rooms
The bathroom is not ensuite
and is shared with the other guests (if there are any) but not with us.
A comfortable kitchen with adjoining living room where all are welcome.
Good coffee, granola and fruit, fresh local bread and my preserves for breakfast.
(I ask that you do not eat in your room, very welcome to do so in the kitchen)
We have wifi everywhere.
Children are welcome, I have a proper cot for small children and babies or a camp bed for bigger children.
Sorry no dogs
Guests are welcome in all of the house apart from my studio.

My website gives more details of Rough Acre -
I am happy for smokers to use the garden or there is an outside room if its raining!
Please no eating in the bedrooms, you are very welcome to do so in the kitchen.
I love my home which sits deep in the Herefordshire countryside - born and bred in London where I spent the first half of my life, I never dreamt I would end up as a proper country person!
I thrive on fresh air and lots of space round me.
As a working artist I am fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, surrounded by natural inspiration.
I garden, paint and print textiles, decorate all manner of things, cook good food using local ingredients, love my animals, practice yoga and meditation - I enjoy life.
