We were very warmly welcomed by Colm, who left us with a 'welcome pack' of freshly laid eggs from his hens, fruit, milk, fruit juice, muesli and mineral water. The apartment was exactly as described and beautifully clean and ready for us. He and Katherine helped us find the time of a May Day 'Pattern' in a little known corner of East Kerry and they went to a lot of trouble doing so. We also enjoyed the company of Niamh, their daughter, who introduced us to her aunts home baking in the 'Coffee Pot' in the Gap of Dunloe. We had two great meals in the Beaufort Bar - our only complaint is that their restaurant only opens at weekends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Colm and Katherine's love of their locality and community. The location is so good, close to Killarney, and also close to great hill walks, easy reach by car to many of Kerry's delights. We'll definitely be back!
