10 mins from bustling Clonakilty, in W Cork, our self-contained cottage offers 3+ guests simple comfort in a rural setting. Comprising a large en-suite bedroom below an open plan living/eating space, with access to a small garden, & free parking
In a quiet, rural location, adjacent to our family home, we have converted an old grain store into a comfortable cottage. The upstairs living space is airy with a high pitched ceiling. It comprises a kitchenette (combi-microwave, 2 electric rings, kettle, toaster & fridge), eating area and sitting space with two sofa beds. It opens onto a small garden, accessed by steps both inside & outside. Downstairs is a large bedroom, which sleeps 3, with en-suite shower room. Washing machine available.
Guests can make use of the small garden attached to the cottage. There is plenty of free parking. The cottage is completely self-contained and detached from the family home. At present the cottage has no wifi or TV, (we think that's a bonus on holiday) but both Vodafone & Meteor networks have a strong signal. We are happy to offer a basic welcome hamper of provisions to get you started.

We hope our guests enjoy the privacy our property allows & respect our family privacy too. However, we have 3 children, 2 dogs and a variety of other pets & poultry so some interaction will be inevitable especially as there are often visitors to our house!
Другие важные подробности
As already mentioned, we have several animals as well as a growing family. Our guests must be pet and child friendly! We welcome families but due to the compact nature of the accommodation it may not be suitable for very young children or large numbers.
Ours is a family home where children and animals have access to all parts of the garden. Respect for the fact that we try to live in an environmentally sensitive way is important to us. Smoking is not allowed inside the cottage, and guests are responsible for the disposal of all their own rubbish. Other than that we are aim to offer a warm and genuine welcome to all our guests.
I moved to West Cork with my writer /poet husband Joe, and 1st 'bump' in January 1999. The 'bump' is now 17 and has 2 siblings aged 14 & 10. We are fully immersed in the local community and love living here. I work in Kerr's Bookshop in nearby Clonakilty, and we really enjoy being part of a small town with a broad and progressive outlook in a beautiful part of the world.
