My room is comfortable, and a little different... lots of character and a little bit arty...
There is a comfortable queen sized bed - you share the bathroom with me.
The room has a ceiling fan and reverse cycle air conditioning.
My house is very close to the Eumundi Markets and only 20mins from the coast and wonderful beaches.
Visiting Eumundi for the famous Eumundi markets or for any reason? Stay with me and be within walking distance, as parking is at a premium when the market is on every Saturday and Wednesday...
Eumundi is a lovely small historic town which has managed to retain its relaxed village atmosphere (except on market days) and is worth exploring any day of the week.
Located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in South East Queensland, it is only 21km south-west of Noosa Heads and 118km north of the state-capital Brisbane.
My Eumundi getaway room is upstairs in a lovely old weatherboard Queenslander style house with loads of charm and history. The main part of the upstairs is over 100 years old.
There are three bedrooms... I let one for Airbnb guests, one is for occasional visitors and can be let as Airbnb - please enquire. The other is mine - we all share the same bathroom...
You will have use of the lovely big upstairs verandah with a great treed view. A great spot to watch the sunset with a glass of wine and a wonderful place for breakfast.
A simple prepare your own breakfast of toast and cereal is included and dietary requirements can be accommodated if notice is given at time of booking or a few days before arrival. Use of the kitchen is to prepare non cooked breakfast only or making a hot drink - cooking facilities are not supplied in the rental price but can be negotiated for longer stays.
I find that most people want to head to the Eumundi Markets for an amazing selection of foodies delights or to try one of Eumundi's many eateries.
As an ex restaurateur I am also happy to prepare a cooked breakfast or dinner for you to enjoy on my verandah. Please ask for availability and pricing... be my guest!
There are tea and coffee making facilities and you are welcome to store any food items and use the fridge.
If you love to explore then take a walk down to the Eumundi Markets (Wednesday or Saturday) and don't forget to explore along the main street - Memorial Drive and discover the many shops and eateries as well as DIscover Eumundi Heritage and Visitor Centre where you can go for all you local information. You can also drive just 20 minutes to enjoy the famous Noosa and other nearby beaches.
If you are into a more active life - the Eumundi aquatic centre and tennis courts are only 200 metres away!
Guests have use of the upstairs verandah, lounge and dining room. There are tea and coffee making supplies and you are welcome to make a cuppa when you like.

As much or as little as you want. As you will be sharing my living area I am sure we will have interaction but I work 5 days a week and tend to like my privacy - but I also love meeting new people... I have good local knowledge and can assist with dining suggestions, shopping, entertainment or how to get to places...

The decor of my house could be described as arty, quirky, and eclectic - please look at the many photos carefully... my house is not to everyone's taste... some are not happy to have a share bathroom or shared living areas... if you are such a person my house may not be for you.
You can come and go as you please with your own key. Please respect others in the house and nearby houses by not making too much noise if coming in late or leaving early.
No smoking in the room but fine on the verandah.
Please leave the room as clean and tidy as possible.
Leave any bottles and other recyclables separate to other rubbish.
I love to read, watch art house movies - yes the ones with sub titiles, can't get by without my computer and IPhone and enjoy creating fabulous food often using fresh produce from our wonderful Eumundi markets.
I run the local Heritage and Visitor information centre so can help you with local what to see and do...as well as tell you about the history of the area if you are interested. I ran a restaurant in Eumundi for 9 years and can help you find the best places to eat.
I am easy going and used to sharing my house with people.
