Kikili House is owned and run by Henri Tatham and Kokila Harindra. Together this dynamic duo has launched ‘Kikili House’. An innovative, creative, colourful, calm, Home Stay in the heritage town of Galle, just outside the fort in southern Sri Lanka.
This listing is for the bedroom Silky Bantum, a beautiful, cosy room absolutely perfect for single travellers. Indian bed throw, plush cushions, sun hat, cool bath robes and plenty of hanging space. A modern, well-lit en-suite wet-room with all the amenities you could need.
Kikili House is a colourful but cosy retreat with a tropical garden for drinks with friends, a spacious verandah perfect for morning yoga and meditation and of course a warm, welcoming vibe. Kikili House is brilliant for partners looking for romance, families looking for fun and solo travellers looking for adventure - especially solo women, everyone and anyone can feel at home in this paradise.
The house has 5 double bedrooms, all with a/c and modern en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast is home made from the muesli and jam to the juice and hoppers, wifi is complimentary, energy is solar. A fabulously stocked honesty bar, cinema screenings and hosting of informal dinners for friends and family make this BnB different from any other on the market, you will never want to leave!
We like to think we have thought of everything, so if arriving on a late flight not only can we provide transport from the airport but there will be a traditional, yummy supper served on arrival. The larder is always well stocked with our in house cook rustling up fabulous cakes, scones and even home made ice cream.
If you let us know in advance we can prepare you an evening meal from one of the options available on our in-house menu or if you prefer to cook your own meal, there is a full supply of utensils and spices at your disposal.
We also treat you to a visiting chef night when we invite a local culinary supremo to prepare something special that will delight and dazzle the taste buds. The food may change each time but the atmosphere is always warm, welcoming and jovial.
No detail is too much trouble, no request is ever vexing, we aim to please and our wonderful group of staff have your happiness on the forefront of their minds at all times!
Quality mattresses and toppers with top of the range pillows and linen from Vietnam ensure you feel like you have been wrapped in a cloud ready to send you into a deep sleep.
Each of our five beautiful rooms are equipped with a/c, en-suites and double beds. Plymouth Rock has a private balcony where you can sit and watch the monkeys jump from tree to tree in the morning, Silky Bantum is the smallest of the rooms absolutely perfect for solo travellers and being at the back of the house ensures minimum outside noise, both these rooms are offered at a lower rate per night. Favorelle, Wali Kukula and Orpington all have private, small, luscious gardens and slightly larger bathrooms and are at a higher rate than the aforementioned rooms.
Hen has though of everything supplying each room with it’s own hairdryer, beach basket including parasol, beach towels, sun hats, night torches, cotton dressing gowns, plenty of hanging and storage space, mosquito nets, unique indian bed throws and personal touches that are mirrored throughout the house.
Kids & Pets
We only accept children over the age of 14 as we are an adult orientated boutique and less suited to young children and toddlers.
We have two in house dogs, Manuella who was given to Hen by the police as a puppy and whom has the most gentle nature of an animal you could ever hope for and Bob whom Hen and Koki rescued from the side of the road in monsoon season as a puppy and whom is now very well looked after with plenty of meat on his bones and slightly resembles a pea on a drum!
Общение с гостями
Henri and Koki live on-site giving guests full access to pick their brains.
Koki’s specialist and detailed knowledge combined with Hen’s enthusiasm and love of life make them perfect hosts for your time in Sri Lanka.

“There is a tonic strength, in the hour of sorrow and affliction, in escaping from the world and society and getting back to the simple duties and interests we have slighted and forgotten. Our world grows smaller, but it grows dearer and greater. Simple things have a new charm for us, and we suddenly realize that we have been renouncing all that is greatest and best."
