Come stay at this charming, authentic 1876 Victorian in the heart of the city's most lively area. You'll have the big master bedroom & lovely shared bath. Walk to restaurants, cafés & all public transit. A homemade breakfast is offered if requested in advance.
Your stay here is all about old-fashioned hospitality in a comfortable home. Both business & holiday travelers are welcome. PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION as it will answer most of your questions. You have the spacious 2nd-floor master bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed, top quality bedding, down pillows & a down comforter for chilly nights. The room features Mexican colonial & antique furniture, (a nod to San Francisco's past), a cedar-lined closet & lots of electric outlets. The adjacent bathroom includes a tub shower with a lovely Portuguese tile & thick Turkish towels. There's lots of counter & drawer space, too. We share the bath but I'm only one person -- it's never been a problem. A delicious Continental breakfast is provided (advance notice is required) for $10.00 USD/person/day -- I use only organic ingredients & serve seasonal fruit or juice, homemade scones, coffee cakes, buns & breakfast breads, my own jams & preserves, & coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
A small back patio with a seasonal organic garden & lemon tree can be enjoyed on nice days. The front parlor with a TV is a nice place to converse, check e-mails or just relax. The kitchen & refrigerator are off limits to guests unless you would like to make a cup of tea or coffee.

I live in the house, along with my friendly ex-guide dog. I enjoy getting to know you but take my cues from your willingness to engage. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about the area & how to get around.
Другие важные подробности
Please let me know your time of arrival in advance. I use e-mail, so please respond. You can also call my listed phone number. I do not text. I also need to know if you'll be having breakfast, or if we need to make parking arrangements, since there are extra fees involved. Please advise if you have food allergies or are sensitive to feather bedding.
Please respect my 15:00 (3:00 PM PST) check-in time or our agreed upon time of arrival. There's no reception desk here so we'll set a specific arrival time; I need to be here to give you the key & get you checked in. I try to be flexible around your travel schedule & I appreciate your consideration since I have a busy schedule. Please avoid late evening arrivals after 9:00 pm.
The houses on this historic block were built in 1876 and remain the last intact examples of 19th century "workman's cottages" in San Francisco. Walking tours are often seen.
The house is still a single-family home & restorations have remained faithful to its Italianate Victorian architectural style. Furnishings also reflect the period, with a sprinkling of things from the many other places I've lived & worked -- east & midwest U.S., Mexico, D.F., & Taos, New Mexico.

Clear communication, common courtesy & respect are the best ways to get along -- "always ask first" is a good rule to follow. Please remember that I'm sharing my home with you - I hope that's why you've chosen to stay here instead of a hotel.
I am registered as a short-term rental with the city of San Francisco (STR Certificate #1) so your stay here is in compliance with all city regulations.
