Newly renovated private loft atop Portland. Comfortably sleeps four adults and one child or two adults w/ three children. Has full kitchen + washer/dryer. Great light, cool design, view of neighborhood. Short walk from downtown. One block from Atlantic Ocean and Eastern Promenade.
Also, if you have a larger group, we have a companion studio (for 2) next door with the title "Sweet Bright Modern Studio Near Ocean and Old Port". We're happy to accommodate if you need more space.
The apartment is full of unique angles and design, making it a very cool place to spend your vacation. It's an open light filled space that offers a peaceful, cozy perch to overlook Portland.
There are no doors making it great for morning and afternoon light. A plush queen bed with ceiling fan, noise machine, and blackout shades ensures you'll get a solid sleep. A good sized living room with eating nook, comfortable CB2 modern fold out couch, Two Samsung smart TVs (one in bedroom + one in living room) with HBOGo, Hulu, Netflix + more, bluetooth speaker, and plenty of games, books, and magazines provide fodder for rainy days or lazy afternoons. There are numerous USB outlets around the apartment and a charging cable for all phones in the bedroom. There's also usb ports and an additional bluetooth speaker on one of the clock radios.
The front room has a child's bed which is great for your little ones. A good sized kitchen offers a full-size fridge, LG washer/dryer, stove, microwave, coffee beans, grinder, and beautiful hardwood floors. A clean, modern bathroom has ample storage space, hairdryer, soap/conditioner/shampoo dispenser, and stall shower.
Wake up and get a cup of coffee at Hilltop on the corner and then walk down to the Promenade for some morning exercise. Take a 5-minute walk down Fore Street and you'll hit a bunch of restaurants nearby like DuckFat and Eventide. Or head over to Cumberland and grab bagels at Union Bagel or pastries and savory treats at Ten Ten Pie. Then head back for a nap, read a book, and grab some dinner back on the Hill. Like views? Walk a few blocks up to Congress and climb the Observatory to see panoramic views of Portland. Watch the sunset from Standpipe park on North Street.
Grab some dinner at Blue Spoon or Lolita. Listen to some music at the State Theater downtown. Get some sleep and start all over with a morning walk at Mackworth Island, just a few exits away on the highway (but right across the bay).
Our apartment offers great proximity to downtown and is a wonderful spot to spend a relaxing weekend in one of the best cities in America!
Guests have a private entrance with electronic keypad entry. No need to meet up to exchange or return keys. Easy come and go. We'll give you a key-code for the front door a few days before your arrival.
Plentiful street parking available- alternate side parking on Tuesdays. Guests may pull into driveway to drop off bags but may not park in driveway for any extended period of time.

For those that have environmental sensitivities, we clean the apartment with only green products and launder the linens and towels using all-natural detergents.
SMART TV with HBOGo, Hulu Plus, and Netflix all connected and ready to watch.
Bluetooth speaker for listening to music or radio from phones or laptops.
High speed internet.
Couch converts to bed to sleep two more.

Please, no outdoor shoes in the house. Since the floors have been recently finished, it's nice to have them free of dirt and grit for all of the guests! You can remove shoes at landing just before entering through stairway door. Indoor shoes or socks are recommended.
No additional overnight guests. Only the number of guests listed on the itinerary are permitted to stay.
Absolutely no smoking or e-cigarettes anywhere on premises- indoors or outdoors. Any sign or scent of smoking will be grounds for forfeiture of deposit. It's very hard to get rid of the scent and we are both allergic so we ask that folks respect that.
Absolutely NO CANDLES anywhere in the apartment. Use of candles is strictly against fire code and will result in forfeiture of deposit.
No parking in driveway (except during snow emergency). There is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood.
All children count as additional guests.
Only human waste and toilet paper can be flushed in toilets. Baby wipes, tampons, dental floss, q-tips, etc. are to be put in trash bin.
Please do not give door code to visitors (if you have any). There is a doorbell for your convenience.
Turn off lights and heat/ac when you're not home. Keep hallway door closed at all times to contain heat/cool.
Please keep windows closed during heavy rain since it tends to blow in.
Please don't leave dishes in the sink- run dishwasher before leaving.
If you happen to break something or damage something we appreciate being notified just so we know what to replace in advance of our next guests.
Place all towels in washer when leaving.
Hang bath mat over shower.
No access to basement, garage, or other apartment.
Feel free to call or text with any questions from 9am to 8pm. We ask that unless there's an emergency that you not knock on our door.
Being that the house has an old framework, we ask that folks keep it down past 10:45pm.
