The glamping area is elevated commanding spectacular views across the hills providing a very peaceful experience leaving you refreshed and rested. The hut was made by a local carpenter and has been fitted with a huge panoramic window, taking in an amazing view of the surrounding countryside. Prices are variable throughout the year for a single night, plus free use of a shower in the main farm house (if staying 2 nights or more). Additional tents are welcome (supplement per tent). Please email us if you want to stay longer than 3 nights to work out the best package for you. Check in is 4pm and check out is 12pm.
We have provided a very comfy double bed, a wood burning stove, single ring gas cooker, firepit, picnic bench, cutlery, crockery, drinking water, chemical toilet, access to a shower in the farm house (please let us know if you want a shower) and many other items to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Last check in at 9:30pm. If you know you are going to be late, please phone, email or text us so we can make arrangements for your arrival. Thanks.
We try to provide a relaxed atmosphere but we ask that you don't leave gates open and put rubbish in the bins provided. Definitely no smoking inside the hut and you are free to come and go from the hut/farm as you please. However, we ask you do not bother the main farm house after 9:30pm. Thanks.
My wife and I both work full time and have three kids from 1 year to 5. We manage this place (farmland and hut) together along with a family member (grandmother) so we understand the stresses of work/life balance. We built this hut with that very much in mind so it can provide you with and opportunity to step out of your 24/7 social media driven lives to reflect on what really matters in life. The hut provides that essential sense of privacy we all need nowadays. Before having kids, we spent our years travelling, having new experiences and meeting wonderful people. Now we want to give back and offer you new experiences for your travels. We consider ourselves grafters and believe in hard work gets you nice things but we try to be open and relaxed about ourselves too as all work and no play really does make Jack a dull boy. That means if we are having a bbq, you'll get an invite and you will always be offered a cuppa. We're just normal people with an fairly old fashioned Scottish work ethic but see life as sometimes ridiculously short and fragile so should be enjoyed!
