Family, reading and gardening have been dominant in my life. I love to take road trips, hike and explore the landscape close to home and beyond. Throughout my career I was active in politics and still enjoy political observation and conversation. My abiding passion has been the public library – it drives me still, from exploring its wonders to raising money to make sure there are books on the shelves. I have a large extended family and terrific friends. I am retired now and I love owning my own time.
