Stay in the beautiful Seward neighborhood in the heart of Minneapolis, three blocks from the Mississippi River (biking and walking trails), steps away from an amazing food coop, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants (Thai, Indian, American bistro). This location is also within walking/biking distance of the University of Minnesota and close to several bus lines.

This second-floor apartment with a private entrance offers a bedroom with full size bed, a futon-style sofa couch, a living room equipped with meditation pillows, couch and comfortable chairs and a separate study with writing desk, a full bathroom, and a sweet kitchenette with garden view. Back garden patio is also open to visitors. Free wi-fi; bike rental blocks away. This apartment is perfect for vacationers looking for a central location from which to explore the Twin Cities.

Please note: our 6-year-old--who lives downstairs with us--is an early riser and is loud in the mornings (and occasionally in the middle of the night). We don't recommend staying here if you're looking for absolute quiet.

Другие важные подробности

We have a window-unit air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom and fans in the windows, but we don't have central air. We do try to keep this space as a retreat (it's creative space for us when we're not renting), so there is no television or radio.

Photos do not do this apartment justice. It is the second floor of Rachel's home that was at one point divided into a separate apartment (kitchen, bathroom, the works). Bed was super comfortable for the three nights we spent in Minneapolis. Apartment is close to many bus lines and a doable walk from the Blue line so you can get wherever you need in Minneapolis/St. Paul. If you come in late -- we did -- Taco Taxi is open until 3am. You'll want a car or cab, but worth it. Otherwise, Cafe Racer Kitchen does a great brunch and happy hour, and the food coop down the street has all the groceries you could need.

Such a beautiful home! We were here for a weekend wedding. Came in at 1:30 in the morning and were so relieved to find a peaceful haven in a beautiful part of the city. Incredibly clean with cozy bed and sitting areas. Books are everywhere with reading nooks to match. The kitchen had everything you would need to make a delicious meal. We ate out the whole time, but it was nice to know this was an option. We would absolutely go back. Wonderful home!

Happily, I could live in the apartment Rachel offers up for Air Bnb. Great location in the Seward district an easy walk to the UMN, the river, downtown and public transportation and next to the great Seward Co-op. The apt. is fully equipped and adorned in great art, lively plants and quirky nooks and crannies. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough, it beats any hotel price wise and comfort.

Rachel, Juliet and Finn provided a wonderful place to stay. It is very private and comfortable. I would have liked to have had a television and/or radio. And was glad there was an a/c unit in the bedroom or it would have been very uncomfortable due to the high temps.

I was in Minneapolis for a conference and a weekend exploring/relaxing. Rachel's place was perfect for this- conveniently located next to a lovely food store, bikes to hire and bike paths, close to downtown and one of the most peacefully designed apartment interiors I have ever stayed in. I would definitely recommend it and return.

This apartment is a gem. Lots of personal touches (whimsical mementos, etc.) plus the hosts are both poets so there is a nice spiritual vibe. And they're very sweet. The neighborhood is leafy, quiet and clearly a community. I'd never been to Minneapolis before and it's a manageable city, but especially if you want good access to downtown and the university, this is a great spot. If you go during a really hot week, like I did, be aware there is only AC in the bedroom (on the second floor, so a bit hotter already) -- if keeping cool is important to you that is about the only drawback I found. But Rachel can't control the weather!

Convenient to the expressway and downtown, a natural food market just blocks away, easy off-street parking, Rachel's upper level residence can't be beat. Add to it the incredible square footage of the apartment and the spiritual feel (love the Buddhas), well if I could I would request to stay for much longer so I can read and write and pass these summer days :)
