I can promise you that the towels were replaced by new clean towels. If there was a smell, you could tell me on check-in, I would change it. This is probably because those towels stayed in a wardrobe for a long time (with the humidity of the country). But honestly, when we put the towels in the room, they were fine...maybe we didn't put our nose close enought to it.
The bathroom is a typical "thaie bathroom" usually thaie don't even use a shower, but a big bucket full of water. So it s "normal" to have a wet bathroom in Thailand. But I agree that the drain has been quite badly made and the water did not drain easy out of the (Website hidden by Airbnb) s also your responsability to close the door of the shower while washing yourself.
You didn't mention the sofa on check-in, so I guess it became sandy after that you came back from the beach... We usually clean it with a vaccum cleaner before every check-in.
About the location, I m sorry to tell you that the mosque is really nothing to compare with the rest of Patong Bay : the noise of cars, of drunk people at night near the bars with loud music....
The Mosque is actually the only thing you can hear, if you birds are not singing....I think it s not so bad if you compare the rest of Patong Beach...
For next guests, I recommend you to tell directly the owner about minor problem that can be easy fixed, better than giving a bad image of the listing. We are not perfect, but we do our best to give you the best quality/price ratio.
As you can read on other comments, most people are really happy with our listing but minor problem sometimes occurs as we serve multiple people for all over the world, with different behaviour, different culture, and different point of interest.
