Об этом жилье
Enjoy peace and quiet 40 minutes from Seattle in our remodeled farmhouse. Beautiful kitchen and living spaces, patio and porches for outdoor lounging, and a cozy wood stove.
Two sweet cats live here, and they will come and go. They don't use a litter box and we'll leave food for them, so we're not asking you to do anything except to be kind to them, give them a little pet if you feel like it, and if you don't, they're fine to be left alone!
Bedroom 1 (2nd floor): king and queen in one spacious bedroom
Bedroom 2 (1st floor): twin bed (no longer the bunk bed in the photo)
Bedroom 3 (1st floor): daybed (converts to king)
Upstairs nook: twin bed
Trailer: full bed
Two acres with fruit and nut trees, berries, and two patios for dining. Depending on the season, you might be able to pick some raspberries, or some tomatoes for a salad, or some apples for a pie!
We may have guests in the cabin across the yard. Please respect their space, just as we've asked them to respect yours.
You'll have access to all of our kitchen supplies, bedding, and towels. If you forgot salt or pepper, etc., feel free to supplement with ours--just replace any food you use up and stay away from our home-canned goods, please. :)
Общение с гостями
We'll always be available by phone, text or email. If the timing works out, we'll be here to greet you and show you around when you arrive as well.
Другие важные подробности
Just in case you missed it above, the house comes with two sweet cats.
If it's cold, you'll need to use the wood stove to keep warm--wall heaters aren't sufficient.
Make yourselves at home, and respect the space as if it were your own.
NO PARTIES. A gathering of a group of respectful friends is great. But this isn't the right house for big, loud parties. We actually live here, our stuff is special to us, we have neighbors, and we don't want to risk damage to our home.
We love animals, but because we have our own, we don't allow visiting pets.
A NOTE RE: BREAKABLES AND CHILD-PROOFING
We live here and while we don't have a lot of stuff around, the stuff we do have is special to us. We hope that's one of the things that makes staying at our house feel different than staying at a regular vacation rental. If something gets broken, we'll either work with you directly to rectify the situation or make a claim against the $400 security deposit that AirBnB holds.
Our house is not child-proofed, and we do have breakables within reach. We trust parents to know your children and what they might get into, and to take the appropriate steps to protect both your children and our belongings. Please use common sense on the swings and trampoline, etc.
CHECK-OUT CLEANING LIST
We do ask guests to do a few quick tasks to make turnover easier for us: stripping beds, starting a load of laundry, washing dishes, and putting trash in the garbage can.
Если вы отменяете бронирование за 7 дней до поездки или раньше, то мы вернем 50% суммы бронирования. Если вы отменяете бронирование меньше чем за 7 дней до поездки, то деньги не возращаются.

Our family moved to Vashon Island in 2006 after 10 years in San Francisco and Berkeley. My husband John and I are both originally from the East Coast (DC and Philly). John directs a non-profit that works on issues of economic and environmental justice, where I do the bookkeeping. We have awesome 11-year old twins. We love to travel, and because we homeschool, we have the time and flexibility to pass that love along to our children. We've stayed in many AirBnBs and have just started listing our own home on the site. It's a great way to share a wonderful place with fellow travelers and to make a bit of money to fund our own travels!
