Large 2-bedroom along quiet tree-lined street, 30 min to Old Quebec on foot. Fabulous newly-renovated kitchen, balcony and back deck. Two blocks from Plains of Abraham. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO PARKING IN THE WINTER.
*There is a young rambunctious cat in the condo * DEC 2015 *
My place is a large 2-bedroom along tree-lined street with a fabulous newly-renovated kitchen, front balcony and back deck to enjoy the summer nights. You will feel instantly at home and comfortable (as my friends always say.)
Please note the condo is on the THIRD FLOOR of a triplex built in the 1920s. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you.
It's 900 sq. feet (83 mètres carrés), with hardwood floors, great light, dining/living room.
Sleeps 2-3 easily, and can sleep 4 :
- queen-size bed in the master bedroom
- queen-size sofa bed in guest bedroom
I don't charge a cleaning fee -- guests are responsible for leaving my place as they find it.
Being in Quebec City is like getting a taste of Europe -- without the long trip!
The city is more than 400 years old, and you can feel the history as you walk through Old Quebec with its narrow streets, old stone homes and hidden corners. And walking along the newly-landscaped St-Lawrence river walkway, you can imagine what it was like for French explorers to first catch a glimpse of this amazing place.
Arrive anytime of day after check-in. I have a keypad lock, so no need to pick up keys.
If you see yourself on vacation sipping coffee or wine, you can do so from the front balcony while watching the street below through a canopy of trees (in the summer.) There is also a back deck off the kitchen where you can barbecue bavette and again, sip wine! There is parking for one car ***but not in the winter***
Wifi, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, herb garden (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary)
There is no parking in the winter -- but there are paying lots nearby.
Otherwise, parking is free for 90 minutes on weekdays between 9am and 5:30pm. However, in the winter the street is cleared after storms, so often no overnight parking

I am always available by phone. My neighbours are also quite friendly (and speak English). I will also leave my suggestions for the best spots to sip wine, an allongé, places to see or the best views in the city.
Другие важные подробности

Please take your shoes off to cut down on noise for neighbours downstairs.
No loud talking on the balcony or deck after 11pm.
Absolutely no smoking inside -- you can smoke on balcony. Please leave my place the way you find it.... clean and tidy.
It's been more than ten years since I moved to Quebec City and I have a full guide of tips, tricks and suggestions for a full "insider's" trip. When I host, I try to imagine what I might like to experience. Also I am a professional, non-smoker.
One summer I opened my home to guests from around the world and had a great experience.
I love good wine, good coffee and good food -- and you'll find all three in great quantities in this city. It's a fabulous place to live, and I still play 'tourist' regularly.
I've done home exchanges before -- Paris in August was fantastic! So far I am renting out when I'm away, but in the future, I might be open to guests when I'm in town and help them discover the city.
