Just a five minute walk to beautiful Coral Beach and 1 mile from the Port Lucaya Marketplace with restaurants and shops. This 2 level condo has 2 and a half baths with 3 bedrooms located on the second level.

This was a great place to stay. We had six people in our group and having 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths worked well for us. This unit is located on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. If you have a handicapped person in your group, we suggest you consider this before renting this unit. Shawn was very helpful and answered all of our questions.
Shawn was great at communicating throughout the time leading up to our stay and the local gal (Charlene) was very helpful in getting us situated in the unit. The place felt like home in that you could hang out, cook dinner and enjoy the Bahamas breeze coming through the unit. As with all stays in an unfamiliar place, I try to help those that follow us: The unit is relatively close to Coral beach (we found Xanadu and Fortune Beaches to be slightly better but that is a personal preference). It's a comfortable unit on the 2nd level with good separation from living area to sleeping area, large patio with BBQ to enjoy. It felt like a very safe complex with locals just living their lives (which we prefer to resorts). It has on site laundry (make sure you get enough laundry tokens from unit #3 as we ran out and the gal was gone for several days). Very easy access to the Lucaya Marketplace and dining options (via car or a longer walk) and the place is a good value for the money. You really do need to rent a car to get around on the island. Hurricane Matthew took a heavy toll on the island so most of the resorts had not reopened (and really weren't even close to opening soon - could be many months if not years away). We could not do a couple activities we wanted to because Lucayan Watersports was not operating to even close to full capacity. As we always do, we left some necessities for the next people to rent (toilet paper, spices, beer and some gin). We enjoyed our stay and if you get the opportunity to rent from Shawn you will not be disappointed in him or his place.
My family had the most wonderful Christmas in Freeport at Shawn's place! The apartment is perfect for a home away from home... and we really loved barbecuing on the very spacious patio. The location is perfect - a 5 minute walk to the beach, and a 5 minute drive to the center of fun. There's so much to do there - and fabulous dining places. Shawn contacted me prior to our trip and was full of information about things to do while in Freeport. He has a map in the apartment that is noted with places you might need to, i.e. grocery stores, pharmacy, etc., as well as restaurants and places of interest. Helena, Shawn's property manager, is the perfect hostess! She met us at the airport, showed us around, and then we went to the local weekly fish fry with her... it was a great time. I would definitely stay at Shawn's place should we ever return to Freeport and would recommend it to everyone!
