We are very excited to unveil our labor of love over the past year. Many of you have asked what Das Fritz Weinhaus is all about. When I was a kid, I lived in Stonewall for a few years, and for a military kid who moved around a lot, that was the place that felt the most like home to me. My Aunt and Uncle had built a house there in the 60’s, and we lived right across the street from them. I always had great memories of that house and spending time with family. Many years later, Stonewall is now right in the heart of the Texas Wine country (exactly half-way between Johnson City and Fredericksburg), so we started thinking about getting a place there. After several months of looking, my Aunt and Uncle’s old house became available, and the rest is history. We bought it, and have spent the past year updating the interior and furnishing this incredible property. That also gave us time to visit pretty much every winery around, to say the least. Our house is right in the middle of them all! And now we’re making it available for weekend (or weekly) rentals for other folks to enjoy the incredible Texas Wine Trail. We tried to think of everything anyone could possibly need or want during their stay, including a free wine tasting at our favorite winery.
