Gorgeous, isolated primitive camping (not a campground!) in central Kentucky surrounded by hills and natural beauty. Fishing available, perfect roads for bicycles. Enjoy nature and wildlife. Prepare yourself for a unique adventure! Tour owner's farm!
Welcome to the wilderness! Gorgeous site(s) for camping and getting away from it all. No amenities except lake and beautiful views, sunrises, and sunsets! You bring camping gear and a desire to rough it. Cook over the campfire, watch the stars, bird watch and hike in the woods; watch the wildlife. No one will bother you. Enjoy!
Your choice of where to camp on hills in the midst of gorgeous Kentucky countryside surrounded by hay fields. Farm is 150 acres, and is surrounded by hundreds of acres with no neighbors. There is no running water, and you must bring in all your gear except firewood. There is a barn for shelter in case it rains. In progress this year is the building of an outhouse, but right now there is not one.
While here, feel free to hike through the forest, fish from the pond, play in the mud and romp on the hills.
When finished, please be considerate and clean up after yourself, taking out anything you brought in.
Location is halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington, off I-75 -- in the middle of nowhere! Great place to wear out the kids, do a nature hike, have a scouting outing or a themed camp out.
I'm happy to answer any questions. Note that the drop down boxes do not allow for accurate answers in this instance, for example, there are no beds. You bring your own!
Depending on the season, there may be tall grass (the farm is used for hay). There will always be a mowed area for your tent, but if you choose to camp elsewhere, they are hayfields!
If you're staying a few days, you're welcome to use my shower at the house and get water there too. Just bring a container.
Please tell me if you're bringing children and how many. It probably isn't a great place to bring kids under five.
You'll have access to a pond, seasonal creek, and acres of solitude. You're welcome to access water at my farm, which is next door to the 150 acres. If you wish, you may also use my shower at the house.

I'm down to earth, love good food and people, and love to travel. I live in a very rural area of central Kentucky, where I also have a B&B, halfway between Lexington and Cincinnati, just a half hour north of the KY Horse Park.
I love the idea of staying with others rather than in a big hotel devoid of personality! Hosting is also a favorite pastime.
I always eat "local" when I'm on the road. I'm a foodie at heart. I like learning the local culture and seeing the sites that are off the beaten path. I love people!
