The Moulin St. Martin is a restored mill near Montrésor, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France.
The 4,500 sq. ft. home on 9 acres is quiet and secluded, and is family and pet friendly. The house has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, sleeping 8. The kitchen is fully equipped. Excellent catered and delivered meals are available upon request.
Nearby Loches offers restaurants and markets, and the house is a short distance from the region's beautiful châteaux.
The Moulin St. Martin was a water-generated grain mill where bread was made for the village for several centuries. Today, it offers a generous living space on beautiful grounds--quiet and private. The people in the nearby village are friendly and helpful and the house is a short drive (or walk or bike ride!) from some of the most beautiful villages and chateaux in France.
Eight people can sleep comfortably at the Moulin St. Martin. The master bedroom with king-sized bed has one full bath and one full shower. The middle bedroom with queen bed overlooks the courtyard, and has its own bath. The middle room connects to the children's room with two twin beds and one crib. They can either share the bath with the middle bedroom, or with the end bedroom (over the old bread oven), which has two twin beds and a brick floor.
The kitchen is large and fully-equipped with a Paul Bocuse stove, Swedish wood stove, a new dishwasher, an espresso machines, and all the cooking accoutrements you will need. The kitchen table comfortably seats 10.
There is a small river which runs through the property. (We have provided a fenced courtyard for small children, otherwise parents must be aware that the river is not fully fenced). A new table tennis set is in the house, as well as other games for small children. There is a wood stove in the kitchen and large fireplace in the living room. WiFi is available. A new fiber optic line was recently laid in the village and WiFi is very reliable.
There are 9 acres to explore on the property, as well as many walking and cycling routes.

I am happy to answer any questions.
Please note this is mill: the house is on a river and while the courtyard and back yard are fenced, adult supervision is required for children.
Guests are responsible for washing dishes (there is a new dishwasher).
Upon check-out, guests are asked to place used towels in the laundry hampers provided in each bedroom.
My husband, two children, two dogs, two goats, one horse, and a flock of chickens live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
Twenty years ago, we lived in France, where we bought a mill on a river in a small village near Montrésor, in Loire valley. Our kids went to the small village school, we made life-long friends with the locals, and we learned to eat and live as the French do. Life was grand. After we moved back to the States, we had long-term tenants for many years, but we recently decided to enjoy the house as often as we could, and to share it with others.
The first thing visitors do when they come to the Moulin St Martin is to release a deep, involuntary sigh. It's still my reaction, and I hope you will find the house equally peaceful, restoring, and inspiring.
