This was my Grandmother's cottage in the 1960's. She loved making pastel drawings of Old Saybrook's sites. Lighthouse, beaches, wildlife, Connecticut River. I hope you will be inspired to create, relax and enjoy this beautiful New England beach town.

Everything in life happens one day at a time, yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery so enjoy today, its the only one that matters.
My wife and I love to travel the world, meet new people and share good times. We have homes in Connecticut and North Carolina. Travel & driving are two of my favorite things. I'll jump in my car and head off to any destination at a moments notice. I've driven the east coast over a 100 times and still not seen it all. When I travel in a foreign country its driving the backroads that makes the trip fun. Architecture, design, engineering and Feng Shui are things that I love to get into. I completely remodeled & decorated the cottage myself and have had a lot of fun designing a unique space. I hope to give a first time visitor a "wow, cool" reaction when entering this conservative looking 1930's cottage.. I've tried to bring a cool comfortable living space to life.
We love Old Saybrook for its Old New England charm and family living. I'm a bit of a "foodie" so the walk downtown usually ends at one of the many fine restaurants or cafe's. It seems that there is always something going on at the town green on summer weekends. I've been a "water baby" all of my life. Never lived outside the smell of salt water. I like to go down to the point and just watch the many boats coming into and out of the river. Sailed many of them too. I'm a Navy veteran, but I like the small boats now. Soon I hope to have a daysailer moored in the north cove for my guests who come back for the boating experience. I love exploring new enviroments but also sharing my experiences so call me with any questions you have. I'd love to share my favorites with you.
