You will have a nice old timber flooring room in an landmarked building of the 20th of the last century.
The area is one of the most requested to live in; with canals, old houses and an village kind of atmosphere.
The neighborhood is one of the most wanted in Hamburg, because of it´s old houses, its green nature and of course the good Location. It takes you 10 minutes of normal walking to the Schanze, a nice area for hanging out, grabbing a cup of coffee and enjoying the young and fresh spirit of the quarter with a lot of students and young entrepreneurs living and working there.
Right along my apartment you will find the Isebek-Kanal, which you can follow by foot or by bike, seeing typical Hamburg-Style-Living and the Alster at the end, the famous inner-city Lake. You could also rent a boat for doing it; it´s just 20 minutes of paddling the canal to the Alster-Lake and it is a lot of fun.
U2 and U3 are in short distance; they bring you around the city. The U3, which covers a lot of the track on high-plateau-rails (like in Chicago), holds for the most beautiful subway of the world; one of the many highlights of the route is the section along the harbor.
