Great location! Comfortable and very well maintained apartment. Nice view. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

This is a room in the Pacific Monarch hotel, so you share the common grounds with hotel guests. Those looking for that local feel that comes with the purpose of air bnb look away. The room is spacious, although a bit aged. View from the balcony is ok, can see a bit of the ocean, but mostly other apartments nearby where you're looking at your neighbours. Not the view we expected. From the photos it looked different however the photos upon closer look were that from their roof top which was closed I believe. Bathroom had a bit of an odor and the shower curtain rod isn't secured firmly, actually collapsed on me. The location was good, no different to where we stayed earlier in our trip at Kuhio village towers. Close access to everything. The place was just ok considering the price we paid. Could do with a bit more of a personal touch with regards to some of the smaller things like extra toilet rolls, some decent shower amenities etc. we had felt more comfortable at the other place we stayed at that was smaller in size but better looked after and felt like a bit of love was put into it. Would we stay here again, probably not. Would we recommend it to others, you could find better value elsewhere. Other than that the dream team were very cooperative and easy to deal with, perhaps their other properties are in better condition.

Thank you for your review. Pacific Monarch was having general building repairs and so the pool was closed for some periods of time. We will share your review with the owner to plan for some improvements. Each unit is individually owned and so they all vary as far as upgrades go. Photos do show exactly the finishes. I was quite hopeful for this AirBnB because of the photos and location, but in the end my fiance and I were overall dissatisfied with it. First, the good stuff. Our host Hi'ilani was great with the check-in and messaged us twice during our stay to see how we were doing. The location was excellent, only a 2 minute walk to the beach with lots of restaurants nearby in the heart of Waikiki. The view from the balcony was beautiful. When we arrived later on the first night we found out the entryway light was out. That was fine, there was a spare and I changed it. The bathroom grout was dirty and bathroom looked quite dated, same with the furniture but that was also in the photos so no surprise there. The part that spoiled much of the experience was the loud construction that went on during daylight hours. Lots of drilling and banging. Good luck relaxing in the room. The pool was also shut down and none of these inconveniences were noted in the airbnb listing even though the building had notices posted throughout it for several weeks. The air conditioning unit blew as hard as it could and made a lot of noise but could not keep the room cool in the afternoon. Overall, hard sell to give this a better rating. I would have chosen differently had i known about no pool and construction. But, it is well located...

Mahalo Gregory for letting us know your stay was not as good as it should have been. The building was making exterior repairs and is scheduled to be completed soon. Please understand that we do not know when the work is close to our unit until the last minute as most of the schedule the work is on the opposite side of the building. When buildings make repairs they tend to work during approved hours only, mostly when guests are out and about enjoying Waikiki. This is a very nice building and building repairs or pool closures do not happen often. None-the-less please accept our apology that we were not able to re-accommodate you during your stay. Great location, specially if you are into surfing since there is a couple of surf shops to rent gear on the way to the beach. Supermarket is also close by. Apartment is clean, well equipped and have good views. The ac might be a bit noise specially if you sleep in the bed sofa and keep it on at night.

Loved this charming condo! Beautiful view of Waikiki and the sea, spacious room and privacy, and Hi'ilani from the team is very nice, helpful, and gracious :) Very clean and close to the beach and nearby stores and attractions. Aloha and mahalo nui loa :) I will be back!!

This is a very nice location, close to everything, short walk down to the beach and stores. Nice, clean, and quiet. Would stay here again.

For those doing Hawaii on a budget, studios offer the best of both worlds providing a clean, private place to stay within walking distance to the BEACH at affordable prices (vary for upgrades, views, cooking abilities). For those looking for nicer or larger accommodations, then you should target $150/night off season to $250/night peak season (vary for upgrades, views, cooking abilities, building amenities, parking included). If you are looking for an Ocean-front experience, then target $350- $400/night and for a luxury experience, $500 to over $1000/night. Hawaii offers something for everyone at every price point!

Our vacation rental units are privately owned and managed. We offer an alternative to the hotel experience allowing our guests to “live like a local” in paradise whether be for a few days, a few weeks or a few months. Our units are well maintained, repaired when necessary and treated routinely with pest control services. We try not to interrupt our guests during their stay, and if the unexpected happens, we do our best to resolve it quickly with the least inconvenience to our guests. Upon arrival, we try to meet all our guests personally to register, check-in, and answer any questions. And if you’re running late don’t worry, we can make arrangements no matter the hour and register you in the office the next day.
