Our large, light-filled home sleeps 6 comfortably and up to 8 if needed. Direct elevator access, open living/dining/kitchen, quiet balcony & the best of Brooklyn steps away. 10-minute walk to express subways, less than 30 minutes to Soho, Chelsea and midtown.
Our 4th-floor apartment is light-filled, spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. With 3 bedrooms (queen, full, 2 full mattress bunks), 2 full bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen/dining/living area and a big balcony out back, you'll have plenty of room to spread out. We can host 6 guests comfortably—if you need room for up to 8 please let us know the circumstances and we'll try and accommodate your group.
The building elevator requires a private key and opens directly into the apartment making access convenient (and secure), especially for families with small kids or those who find stairs challenging. Windows in front and back offer a wonderful cross breeze on warm summer days. AC and fans in all rooms provide respite from the heat.
Make yourselves at home! Space provided in a number of closets, chest of drawers, and bathroom cabinets for you to store your personal belongings. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to cook. We or a neighbor will provide access—and keys—and answer any questions you might have about the apartment or neighborhood.

-Security deposit required
-Once-a-week cleaning included for 2+ week stays (includes changing linens). $120 cleaning fee required for all stays.
It is critically important that you treat our home as we do: Have fun, invite people over, cook large meals, play records, stay up late, sleep in, put your feet up on the couch, try to create the best margarita ever and, if the mood strikes you, push the dining room table out of the way and dance.
That said, we'd appreciate the following:
-Please no smoking. We are a smoke free household. There is a nice bench in front of the building where guests can sit and smoke if need be.
-No pets allowed
-Please refrain from playing (too) loud music
-Please be considerate of energy usage as NYC has the highest rates in the country. We will cover energy costs up to a reasonable amount (negotiated at time of booking).
-Please remove your shoes upon entering
-Chef's knives, wooden kitchen utensils and pots and pans must be hand washed
-We love our home and hope guests will treat it as they would their own
I have lived in Brooklyn for over 15 years. I love my home and community here. I work part time as a postpartum doula helping new families adjust to life with a newborn and my husband edits and writes for a living. We have two very creative and active daughters, Flynn (7) and Reilly-May (4) who keep us on our toes. We spend a lot of time in our backyard (aka The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens!) and Prospect Park.
We do not own a car as we prefer to bike around Brooklyn or hop on NYC's extensive public transportation system. It's just a 30-minute subway ride to Times Square or the beach. Pretty amazing.
We travel a lot as we are lucky to have relatives living in many exciting and beautiful places. We generally spend a few months of the year out of town.
As a family, we love to eat well, play hard and spend as much time with friends and family as we possibly can. Brooklyn is a fantastic place for all of the above.
