Enjoy this second floor light filled apartment in a family owned and occupied renovated brownstone on a friendly Bed Stuy Brooklyn block. Just 5 minutes from the G subway @Myrtle-Willoughby, it is convenient to NYU, The New School, Pratt Institute and BAM.
A 800 sq. ft. one bedroom apartment with living room on the street side (south); the bedroom overlooks the back garden. The living and bedroom each has three 6’ x 3’ windows with Venetian blinds. The well equipped kitchen and bathroom are located in the middle of the apartment. Views on each side are filtered by trees. If you have work to do, there are two large work surfaces - a table in the bedroom and the dining room table. The décor is simple: white and yellow walls, polished oak floors. There is easy access to the apartment : one flight of stairs from street level to front door and another flight to the second floor. The living room couch is a double sofa bed. There are three apartments in this family owned and occupied house.
You will have the apartment to yourself.
Laundry can be done half a block away. Drop it off on your way out, and pick it up later in the day. There is an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, wardrobe hanging space and a closet for use by guests.

Check-in is between 4-8pm unless a special arrangement is made. If there are more than 2 guests, the charge is an extra $35/ person/night.
Our Guest Notes provide a list of local and nearby supermarkets. You will find basic food supplies in the apartment. You can pick up a coffee and croissant on the way to the subway at the Marcy St cafe, and the Marcy/Vernon corner store is good for most basics- and some surprising luxury items. The Marcy/Myrtle street vendor has good quality fruit.
If you don't want to carry shopping bags, check out Fresh Direct. There is a new Key Food Supermarket at 490 Myrtle (cross street is Hall). There are many choices if you want to order in from a local restaurant.
- No shoes inside the apartment.
- No additional guests other than those on the booking.
Guests are expected to:
- Sort trash into bags provided; and put the trash out.
- Close the front door quietly.
- Treat the apartment with care and to leave it in the condition they find it.
- Be considerate of downstairs neighbors: sound carries.
- Let us know if anything has been broken or damaged.
- Read the Guest Notes in the apartment.
