Jon was originally from New Hampshire, the United States, but has lived and worked in Hawaii for over 18 years. He first came to Hawaii to attend graduate school at University of Hawaii, but fell in love with the island and decided to call it home. Now Jon works as a licensed electrician, doing both commercial and residential jobs. He is also a designer for photovoltaic solar systems, a gardener and a great teacher!
Gita hails from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, and has recently moved to Honolulu as she tied the knot with Jon. Back in Indonesia, she worked at a technology startup and now she is a wedding photographer in Hawaii. She is easy going, loves to travel and interact with people from all over the world.
Gita & Jon first met in Paris back in August 2011. It was Jon's first night in Paris and Gita's last night in Paris before returning home to Indonesia. When they met at midnight at a bus stop by the Eiffel Tower, they knew that was something very special. Before they got married, they were in a long distance relationship for almost 6 years!
