5 bedroom family home in the heart of Stoke Newington, seconds from Church Street. The area is a quirky, vibrant village in Central London, Zone 2. Our house is a family home filled with all of our treasured possessions. We usually only take bookings from family groups, rather than groups of adults.
Our five bedroom house is available as a whole house. The house was completely renovated in 2006. We replaced carpets with floorboards, repainted and added bookshelves and wardrobes in September 2016. We are gradually updating our pictures.
We are situated in Stoke Newington, just off the very popular Church st, which is renowned for its countless bars, restaurants, gastro pubs and boutiques, hence a great nightlife. Our house is on a quiet residential street but is a few minutes away from all the shops and cafes on Church st. The area is popular with families too because of the nearby Clissold Park, which has an incredible playground, paddling pool, animals and beautiful house and café. The stunning Abney Park Cemetery is seconds from the house.
Bedroom 1: Beautiful light double bedroom with giant double bed and en-suite shower and toilet. The room is big enough to have two small kids asleep on kids' mattresses at the side of the bed (bring your own).
Bedroom 2: Kids bedroom with two single beds.
Bedroom 3: Large Front Bedroom
Bright bedroom with queen size double bed and cot (from July 2017).
Small room with a comfortable slightly wider than usual single bed, wardrobes and desk.
Study space with a desk and double futon mattress. The double futon can sleep two. It's a standard double which some people find small. This room houses the boiler and water tank. It has been updated and serviced in September 2016.
Next door to the back bedroom is a bathroom with a large deep bath and shower.
Two large reception rooms. TV with Virgin TV. Leather sofa. Beautiful grey sofa and bright pink armchair which will be covered in Indian blankets during your stay.
Our favourite room. Conservatory and folding glass doors leading into garden. Small toilet and cloakroom hooks for coats. The garden has a AstroTurf. The kitchen is 10 years old and is very much lived in.
Basement with washing machine, tumble dryer and storage space.
Stuff! The house has washing up liquid, washing powder, softener dish cloths and all the sundries you will need. It's a lived in family house so you should find everything you need and more. There are plenty of plates, cutlery and cooking pans. Anything we prefer not to be used will be separated and labelled.
We have fire alarms & carbon monoxide detectors around the house. We check them regularly.
You will have access to all the spaces described although if you are not using all the beds then those rooms would not be used. The extra cost for guests over 6 accounts for the cost of cleaning and setting up those rooms. We're flexible about this - every group is different!
