It was a nice and chilled out stay. Juan explained us everything very kindly. He gave us tips for our on going journey as well as for Buenos Aires as itself. A lot of interesting things can be reached by walking from the house. For other places a bus and a subway station are nearby. I would recommend this place and would definetly book it again.

I loved staying here and wished I'd stayed her for the entirety of my 3.5 weeks in BsAs. This was one of the nicest if not the nicest of my Airbnb experiences. Juan and Josefina are lovely, interesting, calm, reliable, very courteous people. I like them very much. Security is good here. The other people I met in the house were very nice. It is quiet. It is very relaxing staying here. A series of adjoining terraces run along one side of the house. The house is simple and stylish. It feels like a home. I liked my spacious room and bathroom. There was plenty of hanging space, desk space, an iron and board. The bed was comfortable. It was well situated for the milongas, especiallyl Gricel, Lo de Celia, Obelisco, Salon Leonesa, El Beso, Plaza Bohemia all within easy walking distance (many locals generally advise sticking to the main avenues at night). There is an excellent fruit and vegetable shop on Independencia round the corner with very nice people.

Staying here was my worst experience with Airbnb. I arrived to find that nobody was there. I called Ignacio, but he didn’t answer. It was 6:30PM, it was getting dark, the street was really quiet, and I was traveling alone. The taxi driver was worried for my safety and decided to drop me off at a nearby café instead. There, I tried repeatedly to contact Ignacio. After an hour, I called Airbnb but they failed to reach him too. At about 8PM, he finally replied to my message. He told me to give him a second while he handled the situation. The second lasted for about 30 minutes without any updates. Not knowing how long more I have to wait, I asked him “what is going on?” He rudely replied me that my flight was delayed and the person-in-charge wasn’t there. The way he replied was as though I was entirely to blame for the situation. Yes, my flight was delayed – my estimated flight arrival time was 3:55PM – but I arrived an hour later. Given that I had to collect my luggage and take the taxi, I don’t think I was really that late when I arrived at the house at 6:30PM. I was also frustrated to find out that someone else was supposed to meet me. If only he had informed me this prior to my arrival, I could at least directly contact the person-in-charge instead of wasting my time contacting him. After more than 2 hours of waiting, he finally asked me to go the house and his brother was on his way there. When his brother appeared 5 minutes later, I asked him why he didn’t wait for me and he casually replied that HE FORGOT! I concluded that no one was waiting for me in the first place! And putting me to blame for the entire situation was really unacceptable. His brother was also unwelcoming. I had to ask for the wifi password and for the keys, when I realized a moment later that he didn’t give them to me. Ignacio also didn’t apologize sincerely or send a message to check if I was all settled in. The next day, I was still bothered by the terrible check-in experience. As the whole place reminded me of the bad experience (and for other reasons too like location and comfort), I decided to leave as to not ruin the rest of my travels. I emailed Ignacio to let him know that I left the place and was disappointed with his service. I was completely shocked when he replied me with “Please do not contact me anymore.” AVOID this place, unless you don’t mind getting bad service. Ignacio is a very unprofessional host and not an understanding person at all. He blamed me for the whole problem and didn’t even listen to my side of the story. There're so many better places to stay in Buenos Aires and this is definitely NOT one of them at all!

ATTENTION READERS. EEVON’S REVIEW IS A TOTAL LIE. Is not my intention to go over all this issue again and bore you with explanations about the attitude of a person with no respect for hosts or guests. So I'll try to keep it short. I agree with AIRBNB and fully support free speech even though NOTHING ON EEVON’S REVIEW IS TRUE. I recommend whoever is reading this to check out ALL my others reviews, you will find that this is the only bad one. Let me only explain this: We are talking here about a person who stayed in the house for less than 10 hours and left giving no explanations and living the keys of the house with one of the guests who was not in charge of the house. Her sudden reaction was not understood not only by me nor the other guests who did not know how to react and affected the vibe for a couple of days inside the house, but also, and never the less for her mother, who called that same night, not knowing where her daughter was very worried about something wrong could had happened to her. I calmed her down and explained the situation, after knowing all this she thanked me for the info and told me that she was going to continue to search for her. Thanks to all readers and Airbnb users for your understanding and support me. Ignacio

My first experience with Airbnb has been amazing! I had a great time at Nacho`s house: the house is really beautifoul and clean,10 minutes by walking from the subte and well connected to all the other barrios by many buses. Nacho is really a great person, helpful and hard working:he`s always doing something to emprove the confort of the apartament and if he can help you he`ll do the best! The atmosphere was really great,i totally reccomand this place to anyone who want to spend and share a good time in Baires!

I constantly say that the mid century modern chair alone in Mi Casa’s pictures sales you hook & sinker. I recall saying to myself at first glance, as long as I can sit in the chair, I’ll felt my stay was complete. Honestly, the chair is a microscopic compliment to the stay at Mi Casa. When you walk into the house, it’s stunning. And not in that, “oh my, I can’t touch anything”, kind of way. It has a very European/modern twist that is extremely inviting. Every part of the house is used to accommodate guests whether it be for a welcoming or send off. Often you’ll hear people tell each other in the home that it has a sort of magic for positivism. For each person, it’s different. I won’t go into detail about my experience, but undoubtedly true. Familial lunch and dinners are a common occurrence— and there is always tea, mate, or coffee working away. Ignacio and his family have put a lot of time into making this guesthouse right— they’re great at what they do. Every person that walked in to Mi Casa in my month of stay was of the utmost quality. I’ve yet to meet the person that disliked their stay. Much like the comments below and after I’m sure, it’s the best stay in Buenos Aires if quality of life and leaving the hostel world behind for a while is your game. Note to the budget traveler: You can only pay for your stay on AirBnb once.If you decide to extend your stay, you’re asked to pay in cash. Because Argentina gyrates on an unofficial currency, you’re asked to pay at a price that meets the house and you in the middle. I say this because it can be an awkward conversation if money talk scares you. Ignacio and others in the home can help you find an honest and fair rate on your money. My opinion, when in Argentina, know how to use you’re money. Took me a while to understand, but Ignacio was extremely fair and worked with me like champ. So, why are you still reading—book it already. ;)

Hi, my wife Josefina and I, Juan, will be your hosts. There will always be one of us to welcome you, solve your problems and make your stay as pleasant as possible
I’m an architect and I personally restored and decorated the house with the help of the whole family, my wife Josefina and our three sons. There is a part of each of us in every room, because we developed the family and the house at the same time. So, we are inviting you to our place and hope you will feel at home during your stay in BA.
Our eldest son, Ignacio, started the project “Mi Casa en BA” back in 2011. He lived in the house and made it a home for visitors from all walks of life. He also has the credit for making us superhosts with Airbnb, status we have kept throughout the years.
A bit about our family: Josefina is an English teacher, Ignacio is a crossfit coach who is now living in Sweden, Hernán is a graphic designer and Nicolás is a cook for an international cruise ship. And there´s another member of the family, our dog, a boxer called Don Vito, who may sometimes pay a visit to the house.
We love our city and we can help you get to know the city and its people, the Porteños.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about us, please don't hesitate to send us a message.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you as our guests!
