Private room in beautiful and quintessential NYC apartment. Bedroom is cozy & sunny with exposed brick and eclectic decor; comfortably fits 2 guests. Apt is large & lovely, in an amazing and convenient location. Super Host Status Apartment!
This large and lovely apartment is a cosmopolitan camper's dream come true! It's a warm and inviting two bedroom flat, with plenty of space to stretch out and relax amidst it's eclectically charming decor. Two enormous east facing windows let in lots of light and fresh air. The spacious living room features two comfortable couches, one with a built in recliner, and a large flat screen TV with an Apple TV for shows & movies. The kitchen is fully equipped and features an eat-in counter as well as a breakfast table. The bathroom is bright and boasts gorgeous vanity lighting; its shower and bath are fantastic. I've also stocked it with soaps and essentials in case you've forgotten anything. And of course, there is WIFI throughout the apartment!
Your bedroom is bright and sunny, with heavy drapes should you want to sleep in and vintage lamps for a charming warm glow at night. To accommodate your belongings, there is a huge double door closet with hangers, as well as two dressers. The room is set up with a twin bed, but should you have an extra guest, I have another twin available that I can provide.
Guest will receive keys to the building and the apartment and have access to shared space: living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
I'm happy to invite you into the space, tell you everything you need to know about the neighborhood, and offer any tips about NYC I can.
This neighborhood is amazing! It's incredibly accessible, affordable and ideally located in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Clean, safe, overflowing with art & culture. Even the walls of the buildings are adorned with murals and mosaics from notable Latino NYC artists. Central Park is only 4 blocks away, as are two main subway lines. You'll find numerous restaurants and eateries, grocery stores, laundromats, convenience stores/pharmacy, countless delis and shops, many with the unique Spanish Harlem flair.
The 6 train is just 3 blocks south and the 1,2,3 train is only 3 avenues west! There are also many convenient bus lines to take you up or down and across town, and cabs are plentiful.
Linens will be provided, including bath towels and bed sheets. I have a second bed for a potential second guest.
Guest will receive keys to the building and the apartment and have access to shared space: living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Please purchase your own groceries.

Communication: To complete booking, please confirm that you will be able to contact me once you have arrived in NYC, especially if you are traveling internationally. It's necessary that guests are able to confirm that their flights are on time, that they've arrived in the states, and that they are en route to my apartment to ensure access. The best way to reach me is via text (my number is provided by Airbnb after booking is confirmed). I also have a free international messaging app on my phone so that I can be easily reached by international guests. I often work early and late, may go long periods of time without seeing guests, and may be out of town entirely at times. So I take care to be in touch via phone/email/text/messaging app in case my renters need anything.
Другие важные подробности
KEYS: the large key is for the two front doors downstairs. The small key is for my apt door. To open my apt door, turn the key twice to the right. The first turn unlocks the bolt, the second opens the door. Only the key turns, the doorknob does not. If the key doesn't move easily for the second turn, just pull the door towards you a little and try again. When you go out, please lock the door behind you with one full turn key turn to the left.
Linens: can be provided, including bath towels and bed sheets.
Toiletries: I keep an extra bottle of shampoo/conditioner, face wash, and a bar of soap in the shower for guests on the side of the tub as well as travel sized toiletries in the left side of the medicine cabinet in case you forget anything. The other soaps & toiletries are my own personal supply. Please do not use these or my personal shower loofa.
Check in: available after 10 am. Latest check-in is 11 pm. I cannot guarantee accommodation if guests are over two hours past their agreed upon arrival time nor after 11 pm.
Maintenance: This is an older building, originally constructed in 1910, with some lovely renovations. It has a lot of character and also some aspects that show its years. I rent this apartment, I do not own it, so all maintenance goes through my landlord. If anything needs attention, please let me know and I will notify my super!
Cleaning: I clean the apartment between each renter (sweep, mop, counters, sinks, shower, tub, toilet, rug, kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom) and once a week for longer stays. Still, some things will never shine quite like did when they were first installed. But do know they are clean : ) I ask that while guests are here, they clean up after themselves as they would at home or in any other roommate situation.
Accommodation: The room has a twin bed but I also have another twin available to set up for a potential second guest, $25 a night for the extra person.
Kitchen: you are welcome to utilize the kitchen. I just ask that guests clean the stove top when they are done and do their own dishes. Also, please purchase your own groceries. I cannot afford to provide food for my guests. I also have severe food allergies and contamination is a risk for me should proper care not be taken when cooking. So I ask that when planning your meals, you do not incorporate my personal pantry. There are several grocery stores in the neighborhood as well as smaller bodegas literally right downstairs.
I apologize but the flat screen T.V. pictured in the bedroom is no longer provided.
No smoking, please : )
I ask that you please take off your shoes upon entering and leave them by the door. It helps keep the apartment clean and inviting. I recommend bringing a pair of slippers if it makes you feel more comfortable (that's what I wear!).
I have some very strong food allergies so I ask that guests please do not help yourself to my food. 1) I can't afford to provide food for guests but also 2) I risk contamination easily if precautions aren't taken in meal preparation. There are three grocery stores very close by as well as three small shops literally right downstairs where you can shop for food easily. You do not need to worry about what food you bring into my home.
Please do not help yourself to my personal toiletries that I keep in the bathroom. The left cabinet is full of extra toiletries that I keep explicitly for guests who may need something as well as soaps and shampoos in the shower for your use. However, what I keep in my own medicine cabinet, what I keep under the sink, and what is on my shower caddy, including my shower loofa (sponge) is my own personal supply and I appreciate that you respect that. If you like using a shower sponge, loofa, or wash cloth when you bathe, I ask that you please bring your own.
If you have any questions or are unsure of what has been provided for you versus what is my personal property, please don't hesitate to ask.
