Tucked into the woods in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, and just minutes off I-40, Historic Route 66, and the Turquoise Trail, this private 2-bedroom, 2-bath Adobe home — complete with open kitchen and living area and washer/dryer — is one of three Southwestern-style units on the serene property.

Жилье
Built in the traditional adobe style used by the indigenous people of the Southwest for thousands of years, beauty meets function as the thick, insulated walls provide an oasis from the the hot days and cool nights of New Mexico’s high-desert. Make yourself at home inside, where you will find all the appliances necessary to cook a delicious meal, or unwind in the living room with DirecTV and Wifi access, all while admiring the original Native American artwork throughout the space. The beauty is in the details!
The property has been carefully decorated with unique, Southwestern and indigenous themes. Bedding, bathroom and kitchen amenities are provided to make you feel right at home-away-from-home.

There is an open floor plan in the main living space, with large windows looking out onto the front porch and mountain views - lots of natural light! The living area is equipped with two couches, a flat-screen TV with DirecTV and DVD player, and a dining table that seats 4.

On the kitchen side, you’ll find a large island with seating for 6 and storage space below. There are plenty of cabinets and lots of counter space along the west wall, and additional room for storage in the pantry. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, a stove with oven, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, blender, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and pots and pans.

From the main living space, you can access the shared bathroom with shower and washer/dryer.

Bedroom #1: “Kachina Room”
A kachina is a deified ancestral nature spirit in the mythology of the indigenous Pueblo Tribes, including the Zuni and Hopi. They are often represented by small, carved figurines that serve as personifications of things in the natural world — anything from rain to crops, various animals, stars, and the spirits of ancestors. When respected and revered, they are thought to use their powers for human good, bringing rainfall, healing, fertility and protection. Sleep easy knowing you are guarded by these do-gooders in the Kachina room, outfitted with a queen-size bed, a large closet with hangers and shelf space, an arm chair, and a bedside table. The room opens up into the main hallway and also has a entrance into a shared bathroom with shower and washer/dryer. The window faces east to catch the sunrise and views of the juniper pine trees surrounding the property. There is an air-conditioner in the room.

Bedroom #2: “Wind Dancer Room”
An Apache legend tells of the Wind Dancer, a warrior who could sing magical, wordless songs that brought good weather to his people and healing energy to all who heard him sing. He has been known to visit his counterpart named Bright Rain in the form of a hummingbird, singing his wordless songs in her ear. During the spring time especially you can listen to the wind singing outside of your suite, equipped with a queen-size bed, bedside table, dresser, large closet with hangers and shelf space, an armchair. The bedroom opens up to the main hallway as well as a private master bathroom with shower, bathtub and private entrance that leads to the garden in the front of the house, where you can watch the hummingbirds visiting the feeder.
Wind Dancer Room also has its own bathroom.

There are two other units on the property include a separate add-on apartment, The Dreamcatcher Suite, attached to Casa Adobe that may be rented together with this listing if additional rooms are needed (pending availability). There may be other guests in the apartment at the time of your stay, but they will have a separate entrance in the back, and the adobe walls provide excellent insulation from any noise. A third unit, a separate 1-bedroom bungalow, sits across the driveway from Casa Adobe.
