Rosemary Cottage is part of a small row of cottages, originally built as weavers homes in the 1820's. The gardens all run down to a stream. The path in front of the row cottages leads to the front door. Our style is cosy but parred down. We want you to arrive and feel welcomed, the pantry is stocked with staples. We welcome you with fresh bread, eggs, milk, butter and jam. There is plenty of tea and coffee.
Rosemary Cottage is one of a row of weaver workers cottages just around the corner from what is now the only horse hair weavers remaining in the country. This unique cottage is our piece of heaven. It is perfect for two, cosy and uncluttered. The lush cottage garden runs down to a quintessential bubbling broke where there is a water level deck where you can sit and enjoy the tranquillity. It is the perfect location to unwind.
Guests have the use of the whole cottage, everything you need will be there including fridge, oven, microwave and washing machine. Street parking is available at the back of the cottages on Mill Lane. Information on where to go and what to see in Somerset, Dorset and all the surrounding areas will be available inside. We are close to Bruton (Hauser and Wirth). In addition, please review our Airbnb's online Guidebook for maps, sites to see and places to eat.
Once booked we will provide the number of our friend who is our point contact and a super duper house keeper.

Everything in the cottage and garden. The deck at the end of the garden is a wonderful spot on a warm day. The workshop shed is not available - that's where I keep maintenance items. We also have a few private items in the cupboards underneath the mezzanine staircase - please leave those items alone.

We have a few house rules that are somewhat obvious:
1. Somerset mud is sticky! Please remove shoes near the front door, boots should go outside on the rack to avoid tracking too much dirt inside.
2. Remember to close the mezzanine floor windows if you open them for ventilation.
3. Be considerate, quite and respectful of our neighbors. They are friendly and approachable!
4. Our cottage is for 2 people only.
5. Infant friendly for under 2's.
6. Absolutely NO smoking.
7. No dogs.
7. There are no clearly defined boundaries to our garden space that goes straight-back from the house to the stream.
8. Please be earth friendly, leave it as you find it, washing-up too :-)
