Yep! You get the whole apartment for yourselves. It's nice, in a family neighborhood and very near a metro stop. Please send an INQUIRY and wait to hear back from us BEFORE you send a booking request -- we always need to check the dates. :)
This is a whole, top-floor apartment with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, study/bedroom 2 (with a sofa bed), and a storage room. It's about 55 square meters (600 square feet) excluding the balcony. The area is a family neighborhood -- it's very quiet and safe.

Living room: A big TV with a DVD player and lots of DVDs . Cable TV service with channels in English, Chinese and Japanese. Wireless Internet throughout the apartment. Air conditioner.
Bedroom: One double bed. It's new and comfortable. Shelves and drawers. Air conditioner.
Study/Bedroom 2: A table, chairs and a comfortable sofa bed. No air conditioner, but a fan and you could leave the door open from the living room.
Kitchen: Fully equipped for cooking with a small oven, two gas burners, a fridge, pots, pans and crockery. There's a washing machine, but no dryer. (You can hang clothes to dry on the balcony or there's a laundromat a couple of blocks away.)
Storage room: We have a lot of our things stored here, but you are very welcome to use the room for your things, too.
It's a great location -- only about a 1-minute walk from an MRT (subway) station, which is a very cheap, fast and safe way to get anywhere in Taipei. The main shopping district in downtown Taipei is about a 15-min/US$1 ride. A couple of blocks away are many local-style restaurants and shops. We also have some really nice hikes nearby (not very strenuous and with great views).
This apartment isn't for everyone, though. It's in an old building that is a bit run-down. Please take a good look at the photos. For example, the junk on the landing is our neighbors' and we can't do anything about it. The kitchen sink is a bit of a mess and there's no hot water directly into the sink. There's a kettle for tea and coffee and you can use this for washing up if you need it. The bathroom has hot water, of course. The apartment is on the 5th floor and there's no elevator. The paint is peeling on a couple of walls, but everything is clean and comfortable.
There is a nice feeling about this place and our friends and family who've stayed here really like it.
Please tell us a little about yourself before you book, or let us know if you have any questions.
Sorry, there is no smoking in this apartment.
The whole apartment is yours. It is not shared with us or any other guests.
Общение с гостями
We live in the apartment downstairs, but the two apartments are completely independent. If you need help with anything we're not far away and we're always happy to introduce our favorite parts of the city and our neighborhood to visitors.

We are a journalist and musician, originally from the USA and Australia, but we've lived in Taipei, Taiwan for many years. Robyn loves sewing, so vacations always include a stop to check out the local fabric stores. David loves music, so it's music stores for him.
